    Hello celtic,
I would advise that maybe you should put that history book down, just a little while. It's funny how history repeats itself a lot, and I believe God designed it that way. Don't get me wrong, your knowledge of history is great, very great, and I wish I knew it better, but it will never be a crystal ball. But we can look back and see the things that were before, and many will happen again. I don't think it is by accident, or by coincidence, it's all part of the plan. I actually believe that God has done these things to give us some clues for His future. The knowledge that you possess of the history can be more valuable than you might think, but you are stopping your own self by refusing to look at prophecy. I would imagine if you did that, then you would be a very good teacher of prophecy. Maybe you should read some of Hal Lindseys books. If you do decide to read one, I would suggest "THE LATE GREAT PLANET EARTH". It is excellent and an eye opener.

    Hi THUNDER,
I have been reading the bible a bit concerning these events.

Let me see if I have this right.

    This is 3 separate events.

    1. Eze 38, war on Israel coming up. (The rapture part, well, I am not shore about that.)

    2. Armageddon.

    3. Gog and Magog will come against Israel after the thousand yrs of peace.
(I believe john is using this Gog and Magog in rev as a type of the first war coming now, which is Eze 38.

So, 3 separate events. Wow , that means we still have 3 great wars to go???

Is that correct. I think you would agree.

I agree about the history repeating it’s self to, it happens quite often especially in biblical events.

That could be hard for me to do THUNDER.

You sees, I have a dozen history books, not just one:D

And even if I threw them all away, for me to put down history would be like dismembering a part of my body.

Why??? Because my father ,who was a strong believer that history was the prime of all education, brought me up and would tell me stories always true stories. History is in my blood. I can’t put it down because it is apart of me. History lead me to Jesus and taught me the bible. The bible also taught me more history than my dad knows;): D

So, the history has to stayed :D

I must admit, history is more interesting and attractive to me than prophesy but I do check out prophecy. I love prophecy.

Sometimes I wonder if prophecy can even be worked out before it happens, it appears that we can’t tell until after it happens. It is a good sign that god is in control but I am yet to meet someone that can interpret a prophecy accurately before it happens unless they are actually a prophet.

So, I find it more affective to find prophesy that has been fulfilled because that is a witness to those that don’t believe. They can see that god is in control.

We have people like Williams in 1887 and Russell in 1914 and hal with his stuff and yet there predictions according to their interpretations fail one after another. History is full of theologians that stuff up prophecy and when they are exposed they loose thousands of believers that put their faith if Christ.

So, I believe that prophecy proved is a better witness than prophesy assumed.

The future is kind of obvious after a while though, because history repeats. As you say.

So scripture is good for assuming the future but it is only an assumption because 9 times out of ten it isn’t meant to be seen until it has happened, except to warn the elect of course.

So, I think you might be on to something with this Eze 38 thing.

I will wait on that and check it out more.

See, I do read about prophecy, I just don’t believe everything in the bible is for the future.

As for hal, well, maybe I will look into him more but from what I have heard from all his fans, he has lost the plots :D j/k

Maybe I should check out what he says before judging him:p

    Hello celtic,
I was just about to reply back to your question here, but now I see you have figured it out yourself. Gog really will attack Gods people three times. Notice the third time though, he surrounds Gods CAMP. That will be us in that camp, and we will be ruling and reigning with Jesus for those thousand years.

Now about your history. I didn't mean for you to get rid of it. I just meant - don't trip over it. I think you may be confused about what I meant and maybe I didn't explain it very well. My fault.

I never meant for you to try to become a prophet. Some people accuse Hal Lindsey of being a false prophet, and others as well. They say these things out of their own ignorance of what he is really doing. He's not trying to be a prophet, he's only trying to understand what the prophets of old were saying. Didn't Daniel say that knowledge would increase in the time of the end. Daniel 12:4 - check it out. God never intended for us to be fearful of the future, He always says "FEAR NOT".

What I was meaning to say was, that You could also become a great teacher of prophecy, just like Hal Lindsey. People think that I know a lot, like I'm a good teacher, but this is not my calling. You are the one who has what it takes to be good in this field, just by knowing your history very well. I would put that knowledge to work if I were you, but you may choose not to use it. That's between you and God.

As for me, God told me something 11 years ago, and I'm only just now starting to realize what He meant, or at least I think so. But that is a different story all together. And about Ezekiel, it was God that showed me. It was not my wisdom at all. I used to think that Ezekiel 38 was just in the tribulation. So I never persued it, because I thought I would never see it. It was God that showed me different. But I don't think He would show me that if He didn't want me to know, and then I found out He wanted me to share it. I'm no teacher, but you could be. I believe He wants me to write, but the funny thing is, I'm not even good at it. Maybe God is raising up little mis-fits like myself in these last days.

    Hi THUNDER,
I like your name, It suites your calling.

You will and do make a loud noise; every one hears you and stops to listen to the rhythm of the thunder. That awesome rhythm of thunder. What you say is like thunder. It is direct and makes an impact. The impact is the accuracy of your doctrines and the noise is the stering of the Holy Ghost that stops us to listen to the rhythm.

You , friend, remind me of the sons of thunder(James and John). Powerful men that impacted Jerusalem and the whole earth through Jesus Christ.
When they met Jesus, they were only ignorant fishermen.

You are of this spirit. What you say , people hear and can’t do any thing but stop and listen. You are a teacher and a prophet. God is raising us both up and he is doing a fast work and you know this thunder. It is him, he is undeniable. You now what I am saying don’t you. He is in you.

thunder, what you said about me is interesting. God told me 8 yrs ago that he would make a teacher out of me but I had almost given up hope of that possibility as I am teaching my 4 children how not to be like the world and teaching like god showed me back then all seems out of my reached now.

My dream is to teach the bible under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost. That is all that would satisfy me. I could do that 20 hrs a day and sleep for 4 and still enjoy it. It will be god who preforms it, as I don’t have what it takes. As much as I have faith in god, I have major weaknesses. With out god I am nothing and I have nothing. He is our hope and destiny thunder.

I slave away in the hot sun every day as a roof carpenter. I run my own team so that’s a benefit but if I could follow my dream and give this roofing up :D I would have everything in this world that I have ever asked god for.
It doesn’t seem likely with 4 children and major weaknesses though.

What is impossible for man is possible for god so I continue to believe him and have hope that he will preform that which he said he would in me.

I tell you though thunder, if god preforms what he said he would in me, well, I will know it was god because I don’t have what it takes.
    God bless you "THUNDER"

I was thinking about Eze 38 today.

In Ezekiel 38 it says that this war will happen at a time when Israel is secure and in safety.

    14
Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; in that day when my people of Israel dwelled safely, shalt thou not know it?
    15
And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:

I was thinking, is Israel safe enough today to be classed as secure???

I would have to say it could go both ways. Israel is the strongest nation in the whole of the Middle East so I suppose that is security and safety.

    But on the other hand,

Israel has been constantly in peace talks because they don’t have peace and they are always fighting the Palestinians on there own soil. (Own soil as in both the Israelites and the Palestinians.)

Have you considered this THUNDER and if so, what do you think????

    Hello celtic crusader,
Thankyou for your kind words and encouragement. But a (teacher and a prophet), you talk about stretching it out. WOE. Okay - I can maybe see how someone could learn from what I'm writing, but a prophet - ? Come on celtic. Now you're really pushing it, don't you think?? You say you have weaknesses, and I can believe that. We all have those. Believe me, I sure have my share of those too. But don't use them as an excuse, because if God called you, you would have to be a fool to say no. Remember Jonah?

I bet you are tired of working in the hot sun. I remember those days, and it makes me appreciate my job now. I used to work in concrete, and other construction jobs too, like plumbing. I can't say I miss it. It is hot here in Florida too. Maybe you will be such a good teacher that you won't have to do roofs anymore. I think you will be, and I can hardly wait until you start teaching me prophecy. It never gets old, the bible is the living Word.

Oh- and there is one other thing too celtic. I have four kids too. So don'y you try to wiesel your way out on us okay? No excuses, brother. Don't you be holdin out on us. That must have been God that told you about being a teacher, because I doubt very seriously the Devil would tell you that. Why would he? Well lets see if I can take a look at your next post now. Stand by.

    Hello again celtic,
Yes - I would have to agree that you are correct in saying safety means secure. NIV Ez. 38:14 - Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog: 'This is what the Sovereign Lord says : In that day, when my people Israel are living in safety, will you not take notice of it? Ever since Israel was revived, they were secure, because God promised them that they would never again be removed from their land, even through the Armageddon war. They will never be scattered again. God is Awesome! ! !

I hope this answered your question. I think you got it right. Well, I'm about to enter the busy part of my week again, like you celtic. I will try to read here some, but not do too much writing for a couple of days. Until next time, stay safe.

    Hi THUNDER,
Yes, a prophet. Why is that too much for you thunder???

The office of the prophet is both a common and necessary part of the body and I have both seen and experienced the office of a prophet often.

I am not simply talking about understanding biblical prophecy but rather being able to harness gods voice, will and direction.

This is only one of the things that you have said that helps me descern the prophetic gift in your life.

God is revealing things to you, secrets!!! He is showing them to you. That makes you, his instrument. His THUNDER ;)

I see a gift of prophesy in you THUNDER. Ask god and see what he says. If I were wrong it would be on the grounds that we all as true Christians have the ability to prophesy but a prophet, well, he is called to stand up and set the path before the church and show the direction of the Holy Ghost.

I believe that if you aren’t already awear of this gift then you need to ask god if what I am saying is true.

Wether god has called you to an office in prophesying, well, god will need to tell you that, I am not that shore about it but I am shore that you have the gift of faith to be a prophet to gods church.

Concerning Israel, well, I agree with you, they are there to stay and god has done it and they are secure.

We are defiantly in the last days and the biggest sign of that is the return of Israel to her homeland.

God bless THUNDER, I wouldn’t just say this stuff if I didn`t believe it.

    Celtic.

    Hi celtic,
I see a lot of threads that I want to reply to but don't have enough time. But this one here needs my attention fast. It's great to know that you think that much of me, but I am no prophet celtic. Gods Prophets were all very great men of God. I would not qualify for that high position. These prophets of old, they were totally devoted to God. They ate and drank and slept God. They denied themselves and fasted and prayed and all they knew was God. I only wish I was like them.

Maybe you think of me as a prophet because I repeated something that God told you 8 years ago. But, you should know that it wasn't God that told me that. I just had that sence about you because of your vast knowledge of History. History and Prophecy go hand in hand. That said, and knowing that in prophecy, history does and will repeat itself many times in these last days to come. Thats how I knew celtic.

Maybe I should show the difference between what I said and what the Prophets said. But I don't have time to do it now, but trust me, the differences are great. They were writing the words of God, but I was only being taught what a great Prophet already wrote. Don't get me wrong, it was totally AWESOME. Maybe later I can tell you about that. That would be a good subject all by itself. The presense of the Holy Spirit was so strong, that my weak flesh couldn't stand it, and tears were flowing. I eventually had to stand up and walk out of there. I bet it took me 5 or 10 minutes to gather a grip on myself. I will never forget it. But I must go now, See ya soon.

You see THUNDER, to me, god’s prophets are always with us and they aren’t just the prophets of old but a ministry and an office within the church of jesus Christ.

The prophets of old were not always holy although god did use them. I could tell you a lot about the prophets of old. I know how you hate those long posts though: D

Soul prophesied with the prophets and he wasn`t even righteous.

In the New Testament , the prophet is majorly active. This prophet is gifted in the office that is appropriate for the body of christ.

This is the sought of prophet that I am refering to thunder..

I think your idea of a prophet is different to mine and you most likely think I am talking about great prophets like Isaiah and Daniel when I am actually talking about the prophets and the gift of prophesy that is active in the N/T church.

So I don’t confuse the situation, I will just paste some N/T scripture about the activity of the gift of prophecy in the N/T by simple Christians.

If you read all this you will see were I am coming from. The prophecy I speak of is not like the prophets of old but rather the prophets within the true church of god.

Read this, it will open your eyes.

    Acts 2
    16
    But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
    17
And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
    18
And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

    1 Corinthians 12
    28
And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
    29
Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?
    30
Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

    1 Corinthians 14
    29
Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.

    1 Corinthians 14
    31
For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.
    32
And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.
    33
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

    1 Corinthians 14
    36
What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?
    37
If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.
    38
But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.

    Acts 13
    1
Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
    2
As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.
    3
And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.
    4
So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.
    5
And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John to their minister.
    Acts 15
    31
Which when they had read, they rejoiced for the consolation.
    32
And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them.
    33
And after they had tarried there a space, they were let go in peace from the brethren unto the apostles.

    Acts 21
    8
And the next day we that were of Paul's company departed, and came unto Caesarea: and we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with him.
    9
And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy.
    10
And as we tarried there many days, there came down from Judaea a certain prophet, named Agabus.
    11
And when he was come unto us, he took Paul's girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.
    12
And when we heard these things, both we, and they of that place, besought him not to go up to Jerusalem.
    13
Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.
    14
And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done.
    15
And after those days we took up our carriages, and went up to Jerusalem.

    Ephesians 3
    4
Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
    5
    Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
    6
That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:

I know I pasted a lot of scripture hear but I was wondering what your understanding of a prophet was??

This is what I meant by saying,” I see the gift of prophesy in you.”

Hope you see, don’t take me as irrational by a simple and positive statement THUNDER.

this is what I said and a teacher is greater than the prophet inmy eyes anyway.

Has god ever told you what he is doing in your life before it happened and you had faith that he was doing it and then it all took place??? almost anyone filled with the holy ghost knows what I am saying hear.

Well, that is part of a prophetic gift to me.

Do you see were I am coming from???

    Ok, I'll bite...

In Ezekiel 39:3-9, we have a clear picture of the weaponry used by Gog in this historical battle.

Bows, arrows, shields, spears, javelins and swords

One squadron of F-15's and a dozen "daisy cutters" should be able to wipe out 200,000,000 horsemen with those weapons in less than 8 hours.

Such a lopsided battle does not lie in our future.

But, go ahead and look for it if you must, I wish you the best of luck in finding a nation to agree to attack todays Israel with Bows and arrows.
    You'll sure need it LOLOL!!!

    Hello parousia,
So, do you think that Ez. 38 already happened?? If so, then when?? You don't suppose that this too, happened when God parted the Red Sea, or do you,LOL?? You gotta have faith brother, without it, your house is built on sand. The main event is coming, and it will be a Grande Finale. I can't wait to come ridin' in with Jesus. There's gonna be a new Sheriff in town, ya know what I mean??

Grande Finale? No doubt it'll be the epic of Human History and the greatest story ever told. Just think of the battle of Armageddon. Just when you think the odds are stacked so high against God's people, right in the nick of time, Jesus comes in to save the day.
