The prophecy Ezekiel is referring to in your post, pertains to Israel's return from Babylon and Persia, where they were in exile for 70 years, to their homeland. It has nothing at all to do with Ez.40-48.

    Hi Quasar92

I agree that the Ezekiel 16:53 prophecy has nothing to do with Ez.40-48

In the days of Abraham and Lot, the Lord in his fierce anger destroyed Sodom, leaving no survivors (Luke 17:29)

In the Ezekiel 16:53 prophecy the Lord will restore the fortunes of Sodom to there former state for judgment (Matthew 11:24)

    Hi Quasar92

I agree almost completely with the ten paragraphs of your very informative OP.
I only question where you equate the 144,000 of Revelation 7 with those of Revelation 14

Revelation is not in chronological order, Revelation 14 precedes Revelation 7

The chronological sequence was stated at the first council at Jerusalem
First the church saved, then Israel saved, then the World saved

    Acts 15:14-17
Simeon has related how God first looked favorably on the Gentiles,
to take from among them a people for his name
    (church)

15 This agrees with the words of the prophets, as it is written,
16 ‘After this I will return, and I will rebuild the dwelling of David,
which has fallen; from its ruins I will rebuild it, and I will set it up,

17 so that all other peoples may seek the Lord—

The 144,000 of Revelation 14:1-4 are Gentiles
These are the church/body of Christ, first fruits from a multitude of nations
These Gentiles are from the seed of Ephraim (Genesis 48:19)

The 144,000 of Revelation 7:4-8 are Israelites
These Israelites are 12 tribes from the seed of Jacob

So Revelation 14:1-5 (Gentiles with name of God written on their foreheads)
precedes Revelation 7:1-17 (Israelites & the Great Multitude Saved)

Greetings, and thanks for your input.

First of all, there are no gentiles in Rev.7:1-8. There is, in 9-17. 9-17 is a parenthetic passage that falls under the first resurrection of the tribulation martyrs/saints, in Rev.20:4. Rev.14:1-5 pertains to the 144,000 Israelites, who have completed their mission on earth, which is the Great Multitude of Rev.7:9-17, and are translated back to heaven.
