Who knows and likes Drambuie, the Whisky liqueur with honey?

Drambuie is like syrup. I liked it better when I cut it with scotch. I probably wouldn't add honey unless I cut it first.

But it is not just sweet.
It is also quite spicy - in a pleasant way!

I got to know it in Scotland.

I am an old gentleman - very old and very gentle - and I do not think this Drambuie repulsive.
On the contrary.

It seems to be that way:

Some do not like the Drambuie, because there is alcohol in it and they would never have a drop of that satanic alcohol, even though Jesus liked to drink wine.

And some do not like the Drambuie because they pride themselves to be "tough guys" who only drink "hard stuff" etc.


I am in the middle.

Drambuie /dræmˈbuːi/ is a golden-coloured, 40% ABV liqueur made from Scotch whisky, heather honey, herbs and spices. The brand was owned by the MacKinnon family for a hundred years but was bought by William Grant & Sons in 2014.
