Who is Yahweh?

I saw this name used in another thread, so I googled it and he is apparently the god who gave the ten commandments to Moses or something, but, there's only one God right?

Bit confused, can someone please explain who he is and what he did.

It's a name for God, but instead of saying it we write LORD and when it's all in capitals it means it was originally written YHWH, which is pronounced Yahweh but the Jews considered it so sacred that they don't say it.

Oh ok, thanks, I got confused because wiki made it sound like there is two Gods, I was like what.
