The word “remnant” means “a small remaining quantity of something.” Thus, there will be in the last days a small remaining group of people who remain faithful to God and yet who will face the devil’s wrath.
But Israel or the Jews, just aren't mentioned in Revelation 12.I am looking at the poll results so far, and I am surprised that I am the only one who thinks the woman is Israel, so far. And 8 do not.
Thank you, eleos, you are another one who reads and understands. As against those who just jump to suit their pre-conceived notions and wrong beliefs. This narrative ends with a new phase: the dragon, Satan, goes after the “remnant” of the woman’s seed. The woman represents God’s faithful church of old, her seed must be those who came out of her, that is, those Christians through the ages who remained faithful to God’s Word.

However; the 'remnant', the rest of her offspring, are those Christians who failed to keep their faith in the Lord's protection, as we see in Daniel 11:32-35. The 'many' as per Daniel 9:27. They must remain in the holy Land, while the other Christians, who kept faithful to the Lord are taken to their place of safety on earth, for the final 1260 days before Jesus Returns. Revelation 12:14
So then, how do you explain why the 'remnant' in verse 17 get the 'dragon' attacking [persecuting and killing] them, while the other group of the 'womans' seed get taken to a place of safety? Not in agreement about the remnant ... agree to disagree ... don't want to get off the OP
The remnant of her seed (the woman) his remnant church (body of believers)
Revelation 12:17 speaks of a group of people (remnant of the woman's seed) who will follow God to the very end. He identifies them as the “remnant” that “keep the commandments of God”.
So then, how do you explain why the 'remnant' in verse 17 get the 'dragon' attacking [persecuting and killing] them, while the other group of the 'womans' seed get taken to a place of safety?
Future.well ... let me ask you this first ... do you believe the 1260 days (verse 6) are in the past or future?
Future.
The 1260 days is the final period before Jesus Returns.
The correct answer to my question in #17, is: both groups are Christians. Daniel 11:32 explains the difference.
