I have used Strong's Dictionary and Commentary to discuss this topic. I am using King James Version bible.

Isaiah 14:12
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

H1966
הילל
hêylêl
hay-lale'
From H1984 (in the sense of brightness); the morning star: - lucifer.

How art thou fallen: Ezekiel 28:13-17 (scholars claim this was about Lucifer even though it is address to King of Tyrus, Lucifer is defined as an beautiful angel who cast to the ground, amazingly the commentary stops at v.17 but I take it as a whole paragraph and v.19 says All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more)

Luke 10:18 (Jesus Christ saw Satan as lightning fall from heaven)

Satan
G4567
Σατανᾶς
Satanas
sat-an-as'
Of Chaldee origin corresponding to G4566 (with the definite article affixed); the accuser, that is, the devil: - Satan.

G4566
Σατᾶν
Satan
sat-an'
Of Hebrew origin [H7854]; Satan, that is, the devil: - Satan. Compare G4567
. (Was not describe as Lucifer is Hebrew origin either)

So even though it's a cross referenced with
How art thou fallen Satan is not Lucifer.

2 Peter 2:4 (About the angels that sinned, cast them down to hell, bound them in the chains of darkness and will remained there until judgement)

Revelation 12:7-10 ( Talks about the dragon, serpent, devil, and Satan)

Lucifer: or, day-star, 2 Peter 1:19 (Day star rise in our hearts, day-star meaning the morning star but is cross referenced with Christ) ; Revelation 2:28(Jesus Christ will give us the morning star, all who endure until the end), Revelation 22:16 (Jesus Christ calls Himself the bright and morning star)

I did a search on dragon, serpent, devil, and Satan.

Dragon H8577
in Hebrew meant some land or sea monster (serpent was in there as well)
Dragon G1404
in Greek means a fabulous kind of serpent.

Serpent H5175in Hebrew is a snake from its hiss or serpent, from H5172 meaning a primitive root; properly to hiss, that is, whisper a (magic) spell; generally to prognosticate: - X certainly, divine, enchanter, (use) X enchantment, learn by experience, X indeed, diligently observe.
Serpent G3789 in Greek a snake, figuratively (as a type of sly cunning) an artful malicious person, especially Satan: - serpent.

Devil G1228
a traducer; specifically Satan (compare [H7854]): - false accuser, devil, slanderer.
A devil or the devil G1140
Neuter of a derivative of G1142 (From δαίω daiō (to distribute fortunes); a demon or super natural spirit (of a bad nature): - devil.); a daemonic being; by extension a deity: - devil, god.

Satan H7854
to attack, (figuratively) accuse: - (be an) adversary, resist.
Satan G4567 the accuser, that is, the devil: - Satan.

So apparently Lucifer doesn't exist any longer. I was told Lucifer is Satan but that cannot be correct. Satan and the Devil are the same person, and is a god. Lucifer is an angel. SO what is going on?

Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! From H1984 (in the sense of brightness); the morning star: - lucifer.
Lucifer:
Isaiah 14:12 addresses the conquered king of Babylon. The name originally refers to the planet we call Venus; but because of its use in this verse has come to be connected with the false tradition of Satan’s fall from Heaven.

While this mythological information is available to scholars today via translated Babylonian cuneiform text taken from clay tablets, it was not as readily available at the time of the Latin translation of the Bible.

Thus, early Christian tradition interpreted the passage as a reference to the moment Satan was thrown from Heaven. Lucifer became another name for Satan and has remained so due to Christian dogma and popular tradition.

The false idea of a Satan/Lucifer sprang from Ixion: To punish him, Zeus bound Ixion to a winged (sometimes flaming) wheel, which revolved in the air in all directions. Also, by order of the gods, Ixion was forced to call out continuously call out: "You should show gratitude to your benefactor." Ixion became one of the more famous sinners on display on Tartarus, and most writers mention him when describing the place. For example, Ovid wrote of him, and Vergil, with his moralistic interpretation of how sin should be punished, awards Ixion a special mention in the Aenead.

In ancient Greek religion and myth, Pluto (Πλofύτων, Ploutōn) was a name for the ruler of the underworld; the god was also known as Hades, a name for the underworld itself. This deity has two major myths: in Greek cosmogony, he received the rule of the underworld in a three-way division of sovereignty over the world, with his brothers Zeus ruling Heaven and Poseidon the Sea; and he abducts Persephone to be his wife and the queen of his realm.[1] In other myths, he plays a secondary role, mostly as the possessor of a quest-object. He-man nailed it.

I will add that using a KJV will only serve to provide you with inferior results, versus a modern translation such as the NASB. The message will be the same but you'll lose important details.
 You mean like this? How does your NASB compare to the Codex? Luk 21:19 By your endurance you will properly aquire your life after death.

Thanks but Spiritual talents must be used in service to Christ for the glory of God - for the joy and honor of Him who is the Giver of every good gift (I Corinthians 10:31; James 1:17). Martin G. Collins
Many Thanks, but I use the following:

"The Greek New Testament", Fourth Revised Edition, with Dictionary 2007 United Bible Societies, USA; Deutsche Bibelgesellschaft. D-Stuttgart, 13th Priniting
in cooperation with "Institute for New Testament Textual Research"

Not to mention the following hard copies:
A Full Collection of Codex Sinaiticus, by Scrivener
Beza's Novum Testamentum 1565
Novum Testamentum Vaticanum, C Tischendorf
New Testament in the Original Greek by Westcott and Hort
Codex Alexandrinus
1516 Greek & Latin New Testament, Desiderius Erasmus
Codex Sinaiticus Facsimile

Not to mention all the Hard Copies ofcommentaries, Halley's, Moody's, Erdman's, Bauer-Arndt-Gingrich, and numerous Dictionaries; Word Study Greek-English New Testament, McReynolds; A Dictionary of Early Christian Beliefs, Bercot; Diessmann's Bible Studies, and Divry's English-Greek Greek-English Dictionary.

Along with Codex Vaticanus, Codex Sinaiticus is one of the most valuable manuscripts for establishing the original text of the Greek New Testament, as well as the Septuagint. It is the only uncial manuscript with the complete text of the New Testament, and the only ancient manuscript of the New Testament written in four columns per page which has survived to the present day.
The work was written in scripta continua with neither breathings nor polytonic accents. Occasional points and few ligatures are used, though nomina sacra with overlines are employed throughout.

For most of the New Testament, Codex Sinaiticus is in general agreement with Codex Vaticanus and Codex Ephraemi Rescriptus, attesting the Alexandrian text-type. A notable example of an agreement between the Sinaiticus and Vaticanus texts is that they both omit the word εικη ('without cause', 'without reason', 'in vain') from Matthew 5:22 "But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment."[5]

A portion of the Codex Sinaiticus, containing Esther 2:3-8.Only in John 1:1-8:38 Codex Sinaiticus represents different text-type than Vaticanus and any other Alexandrian manuscript. It is in closer agreement with Codex Bezae in support of the Western text-type. F.e. in John 1:3 Sinaiticus and Codex Bezae are only Greek manuscripts with textual variant ἐν αὐτῷ ζωὴ ἐστίν (in him is life) instead of ἐν αὐτῷ ζωὴ ᾓν (in him was life). This variant is supported by Vetus Latina and some Sahidic manuscripts

Why so much confusion about angels? The church should have a clearer understanding of the basics when we are asked by non believers. I have read on forums everything about fallen angels who (are suppose) to procreate, to the other extreme of no belief in a devil, hell or his angels at all.

Some people just cannot see beyond the supernatural Satan of traditional Christianity and Islam. 2Co 4:4 and God has blinded them because of their evil deeds least they should repent and be saved.
The yetzer hara is not a demonic force, but rather man's misuse of things the physical body needs to survive.
The Jewish religion: a companion - p443 Louis Jacobs - 1995

<יצר הרע> to the inclination to do evil, by violating the will of God.

The yetzer hara is often presented as a personification of evil distinct from the supernatural Satan of traditional Christianity and Islam. This tendency to demythologize Satan is found in Bava Batra and other rabbinical works, and is also found in some Enlightenment Christian writers, such as in the religious writings of Isaac Newton.
Ancient Jewish magic: a history 2008, Bohak G.
Newton and Newtonianism: new studies 174 James E. Force, Sarah Hutton - 2004

The term is drawn from the phrase "the imagination of the heart of man [is] evil" (Hebrew: יֵצֶר לֵב הָאָדָם רַע, yetzer lev-ha-adam ra), which occurs twice in the Hebrew Bible, at Genesis 6:5 and 8:21

Traditionally, a person's indulgence of either the good or evil impulse is seen as a matter of free choice..and he is not compelled toward either of them. He has the power of choice and is able to choose either side knowingly and willingly..

I have read on forums everything about fallen angels who (are suppose) to procreate, to the other extreme of no belief in a devil, hell or his angels at all.

It is not confusion so much as it is centuries of false beliefs based on bad interpretations and/or translations. Fictional works such as Paradise Lost and Dante's Inferno have fueled much of the Christian "mythology" that exists today. Not to mention people that use verses out of context.

Satan is a Hebrew term, just like Yeshua (Jesus). In English, Satan means adversary or accuser (depending on the context) and should be translated as such. Devil comes from the Greek diábolos, and means slanderer. So in essence, Satan is merely an adversary/accuser and slanderer...one who brings charges up against you in "God's courtroom." He does not work against God, but for Him. He is subject to God's will.

The non-belief in hell comes from the fact that the Bible never uses the term hell in the original languages, as it is an Anglo Saxon term. It has erroneously been used to describe what is otherwise known as the Lake of Fire (Gehenna). Both sheol (Hebrew) and hades (Greek) simply refer to the grave. Satan does not rule over hell.

Demons (fallen angels) are what ancient man used to describe something that was abnormal with a person, such as an epileptic. "Their eyes have rolled back, they are shaking and foaming at the mouth! They must be possessed by a demon!" No...they merely have a medical condition that the ancients did not understand. If you look closely at any verse that talks about casting out demons, it was a sickness/disease that was cured.

The 'office' of 'light bringer' doesn't exist anymore, just as the position of 'wife' no longer exists after a divorce. A divorced spouse often becomes the 'adversary' and 'accuser' of the other, thus can be a type of 'satan'. There is indication that the one known as Lucifer was the 'loved one' of God, his 'special angel', who fell from grace when 'she', not satisfied with all that God had showered on 'her' (rulership over one-third of angels and the earth itself) sought equality of rulership with God over all the angels.

Satan is not a god, as there is only one God. To believe otherwise means that Christianity is polytheistic, not monotheistic. Furthermore, Lucifer is only used in the KJV (albeit erroneously) as modern translations have made the correction and dropped "Lucifer" from Isaiah 14:12.

So who, or what, is Satan? He is The Adversary and Accuser, that is commissioned by God to perform a specific role. He is an angel, and his "name" is actually a title defining his position.

Because witches (wizards) with "familiar spirits" are mentioned so many times in the Bible.

BIBLE VERSES ABOUT FAMILIAR SPIRITS

Could you explain those spirits which causes possession, violently move objects, pull a leg but scamper away at the name of Jesus?

What are they? Me, my sister, and my parents experienced them in our home. The spirit that lived there particularly wanted me out of the house so I had to work and live elsewhere. The hauntings ceased when I left but I know it is still in the house. But someday, I will return to confront that spirit.

Here is a deeper meaning of the word that "Lucifer" came from, not lighter bearer, but dawn breaker/crier. "Wail/howl/cry, oh son of the morning!"

Lucifer, Who Or What? -- By: Robert L. Alden | Galaxie Software

Lucifer’s only mention in the Bible is at Isaiah 14:12. The marginal notes of many Bibles direct attention to Luke 10:18 where we read Jesus’ words: “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.” I do not approve of such a connection and will seek to show why in the following paragraphs.

The translation of the phrase helel ben shachar in Isaiah 14:12 is not easy. The ben shachar is not the problem.1 It means “son of dawn” or the like. The morning star is the son of the morning. The Hebrew idiom ben—”son” means anything closely related to or dependent on or described by the following word in the absolute state.2 But is helel a name? Is it a common noun? Is it a verb? The word helel appears in Zechariah 11:2 in parallel with a verb whose radical letters are yll. Both thus mean “howl” or “yell” and are apparently onomatopoetic. In Ezekiel 21:12 (v. 17 in Hebrew) we have a similar situation. There helel is parallel to z’q which means “cry.” Jeremiah 47:2 has a related form (hiph’il) and there the word is rendered “wail.” The Syriac version, among others, so understood the word in question. “How are you fallen from heaven! Howl in the morning:…”3

HIsWord, welcome...Lucifer is not found in the Bible (period)! It was a really bad translation of the Latin Lux Ferre...ha'Satan was never called by name in the scriptures...even the name tag we hear from the mouths of Moses and Jesus (Belial) is more a description of his character (a liar and a murderer from the beginning)...according to its cognate root and use in other nearby cultures even ha'satan is a generic term.

Because witches (wizards) with "familiar spirits" are mentioned so many times in the Bible. What are they?
 Have you ever heard of a fortune Teller?
Familar Spirit (ob, Job 32, 19; hence, the conjurer,), a necromancer, or sorcerer who professes to call up the dead by means of incantations, to answer questions (Deut. 28, 11 ; 2 Kings 21, 6; 2 Chron. 33, 6; Lev. 19,31 ; 20, 6; 1 Sam. 28, 8, 9 ; Is. 6, 19;

Put also specially for the python (Acts 16, 16) or divining-spirit, by the aid of which such jugglers were supposed to conjure for the departed spirit thus envoked.

The term is rendered by the Septuagint, "a ventriloquist," but is rather a wizard who asked counsel of his familiar, and gave the responses received from him to others—the name being applied in reference to the spirit or demon that animated the person, and inflated the belly so that it protuberated like the side of a bottle. Or it was applied to the magician, because he was supposed to be inflated by the spirit.
