Hi there,
So it says in Revelation 13:4 that the world marvels at the Beast and says in their heart "who is able to go to war with him?", elsewhere it says that the Beast will blaspheme those in Heaven - these two verses are important, because they point something inevitable out: the world will learn to hate those in Heaven, just as the Beast does. This is the reason there is such panic at the thought of the Beast establishing a new world order - if you think about it - because if everyone "hates" the faith the same way, the Devil demanding war with the faithful will be the next step: but we are forgetting one thing:: the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit will be able to stand in the way, of the anti-Christ, until the strength of the faith be able to prove itself. If the faith can prove itself, and the anti-Christ cannot, the nations will turn from him, saying, to the effect "whatever war it was, it wasn't one he could fight alone" - the testimony of the Holy Spirit being far greater than the testimony of the Man of Sin, that the way to the pleasure of God is far greater than the pleasure of man, with what God has created. There is a snare here, that God only wants pleasure for Man, and indeed the Lord warned that it would be as the Days of Noah, but by extension for many, the Word will be God only wants pleasure for Man, in his obedience.
The difference between these two stances will be too much for a fool, to make head nor tail of - so we will see the faith of God flourish, in favour of the Elect and men will turn - how ever fast or slow - to a holy life: which is the prospering of the way of the Holy Spirit. This is why so many mourn the passing of the Holy Spirit: His ways are perfect, His confidence surpassing understanding. It will not be a grudge match, between those that want faith and those that could care less: Jesus Himself will restore the Holy Spirit to His original place and the world will mourn greatly that it did not see the Holy Spirit coming, by which in their sin they could have enticed Him, but now are powerless (the powerlessness which the Woman who birthed Him, escaped by flying to the wilderness).
So in effect, the Man of Sin hates the faith, but in hating perfectly, dies to himself (that there is greater faith than hating the faith alone).
