White Supremacists Are Targeting College Campuses Like Never Before
White-supremacist propaganda at colleges increased by 258 percent from the fall of 2016 to the fall of 2017, affecting 216 campuses across the nation, according to a study released on Thursday by the Anti-Defamation League.

For just the fall-2017 semester, the organization found 147 incidents of white-supremacist fliers, stickers, banners, or posters on campuses — up from 41 reported during the fall-2016 semester. In the past year, the group said, 346 incidents have been reported in all, at colleges in 44 states and Washington, D.C., from community colleges to the Ivy League.

It's a backlash against the ultra-PC left, which has produced campus articles like this one,

That backlash began decades ago. It's called "college Republicans".

This is white supremacists aiming for some market share now that the current administration is normalizing their "brand."

I've never understood the mentality behind any form of racial supremacy, maybe I am ignorant, but racism of all varieties has always struck me as illogical nonsense. I say this as a republican in a rural area.

The Nazis are socialists... why would such leftists want to align themselves as right-wing?
That's historically true. My point is that the campus left has for years bemoaned the evils of white folks, while producing segregated spaces for black, Hispanic, Asian, Jewish, Native American, Asian, and gay students. Isaiah Berlin's bent twig theory then took effect. Caucasian students were held down are now lashing back in fury.

So they become supremacists?

Actually, it's not true, Nazis were not actually socialists (not in the sense of left-right politics discussed today), that was more a tongue-in-cheek phrase (mostly because many right-wing conservatives like to point this out as if it means that current people that identify with left-wing ideas are Nazis). But it certainly proves the point that, people like ascribe something to "teh left" without regard to history or context, like the Democratic Party being the party of racism is supposed to somehow connect to the current party while attempting to divorce the remaining racism in the South from Southerners who have now shifted to the Republican Party. The racism is the same, but the party name differs.

Caucasian students were not held down, but I understand the distorted idea being pushed.

Hopefully they will come around to realize that two wrongs do not make a right. The far left controlled institutions and their professors should seek a balanced approach to historical education, and encourage interracial relations between students with help for students struggling in this area of loving thy neighbor. But when these things are neglected, and one side abuses another side, these things will happen. There are consequences for ideas and ideologies pushed onto people.

I think the increasing presence of white supremacists on campus is not something borne of the student body, I think they're mostly outsiders. That is wholly different from on-campus discourse seen on college campuses. If anything, I think the right-wing college students like to flirt with white supremacy without going full hog. They often flirt with it under the guise of free speech, but my attitude is if they really are all about free speech, why don't they invite some Hoteps or Black Israelites on campus?
