Okay, so White Lotus is the name of a group of people, not just one character. But they're basic characteristics will be outlined below along with a few key members.

Base of Operations: Although the White Lotus have many small outposts all over Christia, they prefer to keep their most prestigious and knowledgeable members in the isolated mountain city of Til'aren. Originally accepted as refugees, the White Lotus quickly established heavy political ties with Til'aren's leader, Palwy Guirn. While the rest of Til'aren turns a blind eye to the outside world, the White Lotus keep their noses in everything. Til'aren's political neutrality has helped the White Lotus to speed up their operations without the burden of national pride or steep bureaucracy.

Mission: The White Lotus is a highly elite, highly motivated society that attempts to protect Ithriya from itself. They believe in the sacredness of balance and peace, but of course the citizens of Christia don't all agree with their ideals. That's why they went underground. The easiest place to manipulate the citizens of Christia was from the shadows.

Methods: The White Lotus have always followed a basic four step plan to addressing any problem that may upset the balance of Christia's five Christian Nations and the Orcish Anserak. First they identify the problem through an intricate network of spies across the entire continent. Once aware of a problem, the Lotus employ knowledge gatherers that investigate the matter much more thoroughly than a simple spy could. These information gathering specialists will travel across entire nations searching out key bits of info that may give the Lotus the key to dispelling any threat to the balance. Once they feel they have enough information, the White Lotus employ indirect action. This could include a few well-placed bribes in the hands of influential people or distribution of new ideas through public speakers. Finally, in the last stage, if the third stage was not enough, the White Lotus will employ direct action. Assassinations are the most common forms of direct action.

Key Members:

Jarak Sule: Undisputed Primary Mentor to the Society, Jarak has the most pull in any decision made by the White Lotus' Council. Ancient for a human, Jarak has seen more than 93 years of violence, peace, prosperity, and disparity. His sparse white hair contrast greatly with his jet-black eyes. All these years have nearly crippled Jaarak, but his wisdom and experience still flow through his somewhat creaky voice. He has been a member of the White Lotus as long as anyone else can remember, and his early history is lost.

Martin Vasco: Another member of the Council, Martin is in charge of the spy network. He is still a young man (30's), in fact the youngest on the Council, but his astute observational skills were quickly recognized. He has also proved time and time again that his compartmentalized brain is quite capable of organizing thousands of eyes all across the continent in the most efficient placements. Short with large eyes, pointy nose, and bowl-cut hair, Martin is not the most pleasant person to look upon. Martin is the son of Preston Vasco, an elite information-gatherer in the Society.

Francis Madeeci: The third member of the Council with extra responsibilities, Francis is in charge of the Lotus' Archives. A bookworm by nature, Francis grew up in the protective Madeeci noble household of Meu'sak. As the third son, Francis had no hope for inheritance or even upholding the family name as family Guardian, Francis resigned himself to long hours in the rich library the Madeeci family owned. Small unexplained curiosities that Francis found in the histories of Christia led Francis to believe in some over-arching power that kept Christia balanced. Further investigation led him to Til'aren, where he found the White Lotus. At first he simply worked as an archiver, but his talent for memorizing large volumes of index information allowed him to climb the ranks quickly. Although he doesn't know everything in the Archives, Francis knows where to find just about anything.
