Congress could pass a law mandating presidential candidates should release their taxes into public domain. We could prevent a more competent criminal from usurping our white house! Only the honest need apply. Then again, it's tough to get qualified, respectable candidates as it is. We certainly benefit from having a transparent leader who doesn't exploit hiding nefarious activities.

The IRS is supposed to find people doing nefarious things (criminal) those who demand people release their tax records are only interested in a witch hunt where anyone involved has to pass the witch test.

No. It's to prevent conflicts of interest. Emoluments. Making decisions based on what's good for business instead of what's good for America.

Congress and our leaders should not own individual stocks. Mutual funds are fine.

They should let others run their businesses without interference.

There were so many abuses in the past four years. We will learn about them when the former president is indicted by the Manhattan D.A. during his trial.

The extensive NY Times investigative report shows that the case being developed would most likely convince any juror to the left of Congresswoman Greene.

One extremely corrupt chief executive requires we defend ourselves from such abuses in the future. Fortunately honest politicians are glad to cooperate.

Is transparency from those who hold positions of power over us really such a bad thing to ask?...

Well, Biden and Harris passed it.

Maybe there would be less witch hunts if there weren't so many witches.

The tradition is that presidents and presidential candidates voluntarily reveal their tax returns, as a good faith demonstration to We The People that they are not beholden to particular interests or profit motives.

The same NY Times who brought us the Russia Dossier? They lack any credibility. But then some people just assume Trump is guilty of something because that is what they want to believe.

No. It was originally funded by the Washington Free Beacon and it was Buzzfeed who originally published it.

Perhaps you should consider verifying your own facts before attacking the credibility of others.

When the NY Times received Trump's tax returns for a number of years from an undisclosed source, they had forensic accountants study them. They did a feature for an entire week. I made PDF's of two of the lengthy reports.

This was an expose, not a smear. An expose is thorough, referenced, studied, accurate.

Smears are for the NY Post.

Regarding verification of facts before attacking the credibility of others:
Less than one year ago, the Washington Post and the New York Times won Pulitzer Prizes for coverage of something that, according to Mueller’s report, did not exist.

In April 2018, both newspapers were awarded Pulitzers for their coverage of possible collusion between President Donald Trump’s campaign and Russia.

Perhaps Mueller, laboring under numerous restrictions to prevent him from learning the truth, did not find enough evidence to indict, but there was evidence of campaign members' collusion in plain sight. Did Trump know about that or even direct it? If he did, he covered his tracks.

In addition, AG Barr redacted a lot of what courts later ruled need not have been redacted...he gave a 3 page puff synopsis in April and then spent a month whitewashing the actual report before releasing it.

So because of that, Mueller could only tie Trump to eight crimes of obstruction. He directed the evidence be saved, but given that two states have criminal investigations pending I don't see the federal government inciting violence by America's greatest threat-- domestic terrorists and white supremacists, by pursuing charges of obstruction.

Can you provide evidence for any of those claims, let alone all of them. Post after post of accusations and no evidence is ever provided.

First: Your post #9 said "the Russia Dossier", not "collusion." The "Russia Dossier" typically refers to the Steele dossier, source of the infamous pee pee tape allegation. So there's one error on your part.

Second: The Pulitzer doesn't say that the award was for reporting on "collusion." So there's your second error. You can read the description of the award as well as links to all of the articles that garnered the awards here:
    {{(global.pageOgTitle) ? global.pageOgTitle : global.pageTitle}}
I haven't gone back and read the articles, but none of those headlines are jumping out at me as false. As somebody made clear in another thread when calling you out for using the NYT to support your argument there, it's clear you don't actually believe that NYT is untrustworthy - or if you do, you conveniently put that concern aside whenever it's convenient for you. Because why should source reliability be a concern when there are jabs to be made? I guess that explains why somebody would cite The Daily Caller.

looks like you have not got one thing right yet.

    1. The Steele dossier was about Russian conspiracy or collusion if you will

The Steele dossier, also known as the Trump–Russia dossier,[1][2][3] is a political opposition research report written from June to December 2016 containing allegations of misconduct, conspiracy, and co-operation between Donald Trump's presi https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steele_dossierdential campaign and the government of Russia prior to and during the 2016 election campaign.

    2. the headline on the article I posted clearly indicates that the NYT got the award for the Russian Collusion story as does the article below it.

In April 2018, both newspapers were awarded Pulitzers for their coverage of possible collusion between President Donald Trump’s campaign and Russia.
    https://dailycaller.com/2019/03/24/flashback-wapo-nyt-pulitzer-prize-trump-russia/

Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report vindicated President Donald Trump of colluding with Russia. He's been exonerated of obstruction of justice, yet we have the mainstream liberal news media who wants to continue to push the idea that we don't know the full story, that there's still some sort of smoking gun. Let's not forget that The Washington Post and The New York Times won the 2018 Pultizer Prize for their national reporting of President Donald Trump's alleged collusion with Russia. They were awarded $15,000 in a joint prize. Lest We Forget: These Reporters Won Pulitzer Prizes For 'Deeply Sourced' Russia Reporting

    3. I strongly recommend you do go read the articles before jumping and landing on nothing once again.

My point in using the NYT article that was critical of Biden was my suspicion that all those people who insisted that the NYT was an absolute truth source when it was castigating Trump would immediately disavow it when it was unfavorable to Biden. I was proven to be completely correct, people fell right into doing just exactly that. That I have to explain that peoples opinion of truth is directly related to reinforcement of their political position could not be clearer. It is disappointing to have to explain behavior that should have been obvious to a casual observer. It should be clear to everyone now.

And we all know that Trump couldn't pass any test (but Biden and Harris can). Thanks for the admission.

Oops, I forgot about that. Now I remember, he passed that test with a perfect score. He passed it better than anyone ever has. He had the best and most perfect passing grade on that test.
