Knowledge, it's a powerful thing. Our people know thing that would turn your world upside down. There is a force in the universe, and invisible force, that's only explanation is divine placement. We don't even know how it works, though we do know how to wield it. We are born form normal human parents. We are sometimes called Alchemists, Magicians, and even Wizards, but we prefer casters. We walk among you, we don't look different, and act just the same. But we have abilities we are born with, awesome abilities. We can manipulate this force to desired effects, whether it is creating a fireball or acceleration plant growth, everything in between and more. Our priests are bestowed with the power to heal wounds that would be incurable, broken bones in a matter of hours, and can ward against the evil. Though there are ones who don't ally with us. The decide that power is most important, and will do anything for it. We call them advocātus diabolī. They trade their souls for immense power, making contracts with demons. They forsake the dead and control corpses, control minds, and have many other evil abilities. I myself am a fighter for the just I wield the power of the elements to vanquish my foes.

No.2
Vampires, Werewolves, these are things of nightmares and fairytales. Although we deal with them on a weekly basis. There numbers are growing and we are the only ones to stop them. We are born with the ability to turn into another species of animals, and when not in that form we have increased strength, agility, and perception. We deal with werewolves and vampires, simply because they try to exterminate humanity. It originated when a clan of poor Irishmen decided they needed money. They made contracts with demons, in return for riches they must kill 52 humans. Some didn't have the heart to carry this out and a curse was placed on them. The curse of the Werewolf. Every night they would turn into hideous monsters. Craving for the flesh of humans, those humans that had gotten away even with the littlest of bites, with be turned into a new generation of werewolf forever tortured by their evil existence. The ones that completed the demon contract have been granted extended life, immensely powerful abilities and can enslave normal humans. These are vampires, the multiply in number by feeding on human plasma. When they feed they push the soul out and replace it with part of their own. In time this part grows in power becoming a full fledged vampire in years. The forced out souls end up in either heaven or hell, depending on their lives when they "died". Every human has the chance of giving birth to one of our kind. Though if two of us copulate, it results in a normal human being born. We were created to stop these evil threats on humanity. Our job is not over until they exist no more. Their numbers are growing.

Another thing for no.2 is that they can only transform into one group of species, they decide this on their 15th birthday. The protagonist is going to have to watch the birth of their chosen animal in order to become them. The protagonist is a month away from age 15 and is getting told of the existence by an friends grandmother.

The only way to ward of vampires is Blessed Crosses, Holy water, and being in a church. Each member of the has a blessed cross around their neck and a small phylactery ring with holy water in it. This is the only way to not "die" from get your plasma sucked out.
