So where do those creationists here come from who try to tackle evolution theory without having even a basic clue what it says? Someone must have denied them the knowledge.I have never met a creationist who has denied their children knowledge of evolution.
I have never met a creationist who has denied their children knowledge of evolution.
They actually teach both sides.
You are actually wrong about evolutionists too...most I know do not give any credit to creationism except to ridicule it.

Really? I'm surrounded by them. And they want to deny knowledge of essential biology to everyone else's children too.
I'm surprised you've never met someone like that. They certainly have been in the papers for pretty much...well my life at the very least. Making public statements and all.
I've yet to find one that even properly understood the other side.
They teach a warped view of evolutionary theory in order to disprove it. That isn't science. It's a nice straw man.
I did look at it at one time, but so quickly found the gross errors as I got older I decided arguing against creationism is as good a use of my time as arguing with people who think aliens built the pyramids.
Everyone has limited time and energy. I'd like to spend mine on more useful things. Or at the very least, something fun.
I can't even take time out to ridicule creationism any more. I haven't wasted my time that way in many decades.
lol the only reason I'm even in this subforum is I'm avoiding finishing my taxes, and CF seems to be pretty slow all over compared to the last time I was on here.
Technically, neither have I. I am unaware of any Creationist who hasn't allowed their child to know that the concept of evolution exists.
And that's where I disagree. They have taught their side, and then they have taught their side's view of the other side. They have not taught both sides. They can't. Because they don't know the other side. Even if they actually could teach the other side, they wouldn't because then their kids would go to the other side and no longer be on their side.
I assure you creationists know both sides very well.
Your assurance is meaningless in the face of 50 years experience that is completely the opposite.
The theists I know who do understand evolutionary theory fairly well seem to understand what a false dichotomy it is to have to choose between a scientific theory and the existence of God.
Thus they do not describe themselves as "Creationists" since to do so would mean accepting the false choice as real.
That's too bad that some choose to not teach it. It is not something to fear. Knowledge is power. It also helped my faith to learn about it. It also makes me a better witness for Christ. I'm thankful for my education. I've also learned quite a bit about how to approach evolutionists from this forum. I'm thankful for that too. It will be very helpful in the future.
I assure you creationists know both sides very well. Some debate and others quietly take notes and use it to make them better witnesses for Christ. It is always better to discuss in person and not online. It is more purposeful.
Trust me creationists are not afraid of their children switching sides. It's not even a thought in their minds.
I have never met a creationist who has denied their children knowledge of evolution. They actually teach both sides. Their children have been taught the truth so evolution poses no problems. Some of you are truly ignorant ( don't you just love how derogatory that word sounds when applied to you) about what true creationists believe and teach their children. Knowledge is freedom. You are actually wrong about evolutionists too...most I know do not give any credit to creationism except to ridicule it.

You would be surprised how much evolution comes up in Street ministry. It's very important to be knowledgeable about it. The people I meet on the streets are often very educated and they want to know answers to the questions they have. I'm thankful for all I read online and learn from others because it has made me better prepared.

I do believe, that you were taught about evolution, yes. I do not believe, you were taught, the theory of evolution, no. You showed me, your science book. When you, were taught, "both sides" was it the same, with how, this woman was taught both side? The book, she talks about, you, are the one, who told me, about it.
Teaching Both Sides?
Can you tell us, please, the other authors, you have studied?
When evolution, comes up, in street ministry, what, do you tell people, about it?
I would rather not. I've already learned it isn't wise nor beneficial.
In street ministry, I strive to answer any question as honestly as possible.
I don't get into debates. If the person disagrees with my answer, that's fine. I'm planting seeds. God is winning souls.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. That is hers.
Yes, I was taught the theory of evolution.
Apologia was not my only textbook. It was one of many...it was the only one I could show you a sample of online.
I don't have to believe something is true to understand it.
