Which is a staple for you? Butter or margarine?

My mother only bought margarine and lots of ice cream. I only buy butter but seldom use it and seldom put anything in my coffee or tea. I almost never buy ice cream. I always preferred cake. But I LOVE butter croissants. I have a brother who tries to talk to me about nutrition. He drinks vodka. My mother lived to be ninety-three. Some of my relatives passed away of cancer. My MIL died of emphysema at age 70. Her sister committed suicide I expect to die someday.

I only use unsalted butter in cooking and as a spread.

Margerine on the bread, as it spreads better.
Butter in the pan for the frying.

I like grilled cheese. Sorry but I do. I started making it with olive oil. So crazy fatty but some slightly better fat.

I make grilled cheese with butter. I follow The French Cooking Academy method.

Butter is over 4 bucks a pound.
Tooooo much.
God has blessed with prosperity, but I would feel dumb giving the store that much for what just a short while ago was under 2.

I love imperial margarine so much i think i could drink.it. try to stay away from baked potatoes and french toast because i drench them. Oh dear, maybe French toast tonight?

I tend to use margarine.

Anything hydrogenated does.

I use real butter and heavy cream.

Heavy cream has less sugar than milk.

I learned this when I was on the Atkins Diet years ago. He recommended drinking
coffee black, but if you must use creamer, use heavy cream as it has less sugar.
Milk has lactose which is sugar. Now I just make my own half and half. 3/4 heavy
cream and 1/4 milk.
