Where's the person ultimately in charge of enforcing U.S. law?

Why is it if you have an answering machine, and you listen to your messages... (like me, you listen probably in order to delete them all as rapidly as you can, but listen for a few seconds to each just in case someone you know called)

...and in the last year, you hear a rapidly increasing barrage of phone scammers calling people at random, trying to defraud Americans.

That's lawless. And you know there are older people out there getting robbed, over the phone.

Criminals using phones are increasingly operating freely without fear of the law.

Where is the person in overall charge of enforcing U.S. law, and why aren't they doing their job?

Why don't they do something, instead of letting the criminals run freely without fear?

Why doesn't the top Executive officer over all do his job? (better)

Every year, millions of you tell us – and our partners – about the frauds you spotted. Last year, we heard from 3 million of you, and here’s some of what we learned from your reports:

    • We collected more than 1.4 million fraud reports, and people said they lost money to the fraud in 25% of those reports. People reported losing $1.48 billion (with a ‘b’) to fraud last year – an increase of 38% over 2017.
    The top frauds of 2018

    Hello? Is anyone there?

He could try, others sometimes have tried to 'fix' something.... re housing, phone costs and scams, medical scams(the worst of all maybe) , military scams,

but the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ x millions or billions , and power...

is what is the main motive and factor......

thus, not even 100,000 people seeking to make something better can succeed.... unless Yahuweh Sovereign Creator Decides to DO something about it, THEN it gets done... not by people, but by Him,
as people are unable to effect the kind of change you lament concerning....

some trust in horses (politics), and some in chariots (power) ,

BUT ONLY THE LORD OUR GOD is reliable and dependable.

A few have shown that congress "COULD" stop a lot of mischief by corporations, politicians, businesses, scammers, doctors, hospitals, insurance companies, schools, car sellers, etc etc etc
but they won't...... it's not in their agenda to make anything good for the people just because something is wrong.....

I believe the reason you find there is nobody doing anything about these things is because the people who are supposed to care for and manage the country actually want and foster it.

You used telescaming as an example. Which was allowed in the name of freedom and tolerance for others. Freedom, tolerance, acceptance, at the cost of your own. Nothing is free, those who scream for tolerance are the most intolerant, and the only acceptance they seek is their own. The rest be damned.

Net neutrality is the principle that Internet service providers treat all data on the Internet equally, and not discriminate or charge differently by user, content, website, platform, application, type of attached equipment, or method of communication.Wikipedia

See, in the NWO you are discriminating against others who in principle have the right to be treated equally and not be discriminated against by limiting their use of the platform. Why are you so intolerant of people seeking to make a living on phone sales? <<sarcasm

There is someone there, but it's a rooster in the hen house........

There is a "Do Not Call" law. The problem is people have to police themselves. When robots make calls no business name is on the caller ID, so you can't report them. It is just call, unknown number, blocked call, or the name of a city. My mom said phone spammers have the technology to make it appear to be from a different city in the United States when they actually are overseas. There is no way the government could stop robocalls.

mmm...well, if people intend to accomplish a difficult thing...then they tend to find ways to do what is thought hard or near impossible, in time. It's more a matter of whether we care to save telephoning. I suppose you could easily create a new internet phone system tho where only known contacts and perhaps say an approved list of organizations could even contact the internet phone, for instance, and then you'd have something sorta like he old phone we used to have in that way, where you'd rarely get a call from a stranger (usually a 'wrong number' call). I guess that's probably what will happen, as it's more the market way. Here's a possible down side even to that -- meanwhile a lot of old folks are going to continue to get scammed, even with the options...ah, unless the options get cheap and marketed straight to them.

ah, I see it's already in existence. the Ooma version is called "Contacts-only calling: For the highest level of spam protection, users can choose to only allow the phone to ring when the incoming caller is on their contact list."
    in the premium level.

Maybe if we just gave it to them free of charge it would eliminate the need to be scammed for it? And implode the market completely! ah...the two sides of the koin. Pretty isn't it? :)

I think mixing morality and marketing is like trying to emulsify oil into water. And I think morality has long since disappeared from the global marketing initiative. That's not to say a moral person can't attempt to market something. But usually their morals steer them clear of such immoral habitats.

I'd beware more the ones who create cultures where morality is subjective and humanity a cause of reaction.

Unfortunately the only solution is to not even have a telephone line, which is impossible for me and Mom. If we had normal hearing, we would only have our iPhones.

Where's the person ultimately in charge of enforcing U.S. law?

That would be the nation's Attorney General but he's AWOL - travelling around the world on this President's "fools errand" of searching for "dirt" to use against the "investigators!"

Trump wanted him to make a public statement that he indeed had made the "perfect phone call" to the President of Ukraine - the Attorney General is keeping a low profile hoping all this will blow over!
