Because the scripture talks about Satan being thrown in the lake of fire.

Let’s see 1000 years none of us are going to be around to see Jesus Christ to see him reign. We will be dead before that even happens.

1000 years is represented number that exclaims ownership.

Jesus Christ will reign forever on this earth now today, people who come to know Christ Jesus enter this kingdom they are delivered from darkness into the kingdom of his Son.

    According to Colossians 1:12-15?

Notice God delivers people out of darkness, it doesn’t say anything about God delivering then from satans hand or satans kingdom: so today in this world.

By the victory of Jesus, overcoming Satan, people today still don’t believe it’s possible.

One more thing Satan also means adversary.

Satan can be tossed around so much that we stop blaming our human nature for being what it is a lover of evil self-will actions not looking towards God.

To me Satan has been defeated. Jesus crushed his head at the cross, and after resurrection. Defeating death, sin, grave, and Satan.

Anyone can believe however they desire on this topic but I’m going to believe always that Satan has been defeated by Jesus Christ.

The 1500 mile city New Jerusalem has not descended from heaven, and God isn’t dwelling on earth with us forever, per Revelation 21 and 22.

This is a very literal view of Revelation.

God is going to resurrect those who beheaded during the Tribulatoin to live during the Millennium. Nobody was beheaded in the past whereby they are living today.

“...and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.” (Revelation 20:4).

Also, this above verse does not read like a metaphor. It does not have the classic indicators that follow a metaphor. You are trying to use rational thinking that does not work in your own mind, and seeing it does not work in your mind, you hit the “metaphor button” without looking at any of the context or looking to a cross reference to confirm your findings.

You are in error. There is no other verse in the Bible to confirm this and or sounds like it is a perfect tie in to Revelation 20:4. There is no verse that says, “But when God speaks of living a thousand years, know that this is not actual years or days but it is a picture of how God owns you.”

So then the believer's testimonies of today who have seen demons and who have cast out demons today and or in recent history are either lying or deluded in some way. They are deluded in believing verses that talk about the amor of God in Ephesians 6.

So no armor of God for you. You cannot apply the amor of God for you today. It serves no purpose. So you are reading instructions on our spiritual battle and fight with holes in your instructions. Telling people to deny that Satan is around is just as bad as those who deny the existence of Satan. It means one does not have to worry about the devil's schemes and thereby they can be deceived by them (2 Corinthians 2:11). For if I told you that someone was going to attack your house with a certain battle plan tomorrow and yet you said such a person does not exist, then the attack does not exist. So then if you ignore my warning about such an attack, your house would be broken into and or ruined. But it just does not seem like you care. For me: If I was wrong about such a thing, it would scare the heck out of me in that the devil could destroy me because I did not believe he was around or that he did not exist. To me: Your playing a dangerous game of interpretation that places your soul at great risk.

This is not always the case. The word “beast” can just simply refer to animals like in Genesis 1:24-25, and Genesis 1:30. Revelation refers to the word “beast” in many cases in reference to demons.

The problem with your belief about the devil not being around today is that there is no actual proof that this is true. Nothing in the past indicates that the MAJOR things in Revelation have happened. As I said before, the other problem is that it renders warnings for us to be aware of the devil's schemes can be ignored (Thereby we can fall victim to these schemes - Which is a dangerous position to be in). For what if you are wrong? This means that devil (you don't think is around) will be able to potentially deceive you. To believe that either the devil does not exist or is not around is the first step towards being ignorant of the devil's schemes (of course). You may think that we wrestle against flesh and blood when in reality that is not the kind of battle we fight. We fight a spiritual war.

    Hello Brother @Bible Highlighter

The same can be said about human philosophy, and traditions of men, if you don’t believe me just go read Colossians chapter 2 in its full context. You will see Paul warning against to be weary and cautious of the ways of wisdom according to men, and not according to Christ Jesus.

People don’t have to believe me, do not expect them to, but if you are a believer in Christ Jesus, why would you have to worry about the devil or Satan exactly?

What purpose would there to be afraid?

All that has been made know to me is that when a person comes to acceptance of the faith God has provided and they make that choice to believe and have faith on Christ Jesus they have been pulled out of darkness by God and brought into the Kingdom of His son, according to Colossians chapter 1 as well.

So you have to make your own decision of what you have chosen to believe. If people don’t believe revelation happened yet it’s cool, but if we can’t love each other aside from the differences then that is a problem a person as to deal with when it comes to their heart, and love towards God and love towards others.

Am not perfect (it’s why we need Christ Jesus)but when it comes to beliefs believe people are going to believe how they want, desire, or have been taught by others to believe.

Thank you for your comment, what do you think about these things?

Right, and no offense, but I believe your philosophy or your belief (on the devil) runs contrary to the teachings of Jesus Christ and His followers because nowhere do we see any of the MAJOR BIG things in Revelation fulfilled in the past. We hear nothing about how demons came up out of the ground, and how 1/4th of the Earth was killed. You read Revelation 20:4 in an allegorical way when it simply does not read that way. It would be like reading the literal passages on Christ's dying for our sins on the cross as a metaphor. None of the 4 gospels portrays His life as not being real or literal. Yet, I am sure somebody can say it is a metaphor just because they want it to be one. But that does not make such a claim true.

    Peter tells believers:

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” (1 Peter 5:8).

    Paul tells believers:

“Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” (2 Corinthians 2:11).

Also, this following verse below cannot be true for you, too.

“In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” (2 Corinthians 4:4).

For in your view, unbelievers are not being blinded by Satan. Yet, this is what 2 Corinthians 4:4 says. So you must take some scissors and cut this verse out of your Bible. It is a totally useless verse for you. The devil is not blinding any unbelievers today according to you because he is not around. Yet, who am I going to believe? You, or the Bible? I choose the Bible. For you allegorize Revelation 20:4 without any good reason, and you ignore the warnings in the Bible about the devil.

This is not just believing in the person of Jesus, but it is believing everything He taught, said, and did, too. For Jesus says, “why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord' and do not the things that I say?” (Luke 6:46).

Disagreeing over our beliefs is not a lack of love. I do care for you. But somebody can misinterpret my zeal in warning a person to not drive over a bridge up ahead because it is damaged can be viewed as a lack of love (when it is not). The warning is done out of love. If not, then they would just let them drive on by without any warning.

I don't know what your definition of “not perfect” is. What Christians today define as perfect and what the Bible defines as perfect are two different things. Some Christians think “not perfect” is that they think they will always commit mortal or grievous sin in this life on some level. Meaning, they will always look at women in lust, lie, and or use bad language, etc.; and yet, despite these things, they believe they are still saved.

    What things?

The thing is my understanding comes from the Bible and that Satan has be conquered over by the Lord Jesus Christ.

It’s a very subjective topic, you can say it’s my belief is false but still doesn’t invalidate the text of what happens to Satan and His angels, when spoken about by Jesus Christ somewhere in the Gospel.

If you believe that scriptures should be followed verse by verse and word by word, you will have a very lot of responsibility on your own hands.

For me my belief is that everything has been fulfilled, and it is important to take everything as a grain of salt that is taught by others and actually read and understand the texts of what is going on when it comes down to what is believed and taught by others to them.

So like I’ve said I believe personally everything in the Bible has been completed, that Satan has been conquered over and that Jesus Christ has already come back and lives with believers today in their heart, through the faith God has given.

You may believe Jesus Christ is coming back, that armegadon is going to come about, and that we are living in the last days, and Satan is still roaming around.

For me believe people if anything are blinded by Darkness and not Satan at all.

What do you think about these things?

I think it is time for me to move on. Nothing I will say will convince you at this time.
Only God can talk to your heart by His Word on this topic.
I would pray this topic some more with the Lord, and check to see if maybe you might be wrong on this one. Why? Well, because from my perspective, it seems like you are in an extremely dangerous position whereby the devil can deceive you (because you deny he is not around to deceive you). For Scripture warn us to be aware of the devil's schemes or devices.

I believe the "devil" exists but he has no actual power other than the power of suggestion. God is the winner the devil is the loser. He has no power. God has all the power and we understand this through his son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit who strengthens us.
