Given that after 4 years averaging over 23 lies a day, Trump supporters would have us believe that after ignoring more than 20,000 falsehoods, they have suddenly rediscovered an interest in the truth - if only to be used in their brazen attempts to hold Biden to a far higher moral standard than their candidate of choice!

Why would the press be hostile to Joe Biden ?

How about for not ever mentioning anything much about the violent protesters and what needs to be done for over 60 days....even at his Convention....barely a peep condemning any of it! And actually I'm not saying they should be hostile to anyone.....BUT they should ask real solid questions and not have this whole thing be nothing but a farce. The self-appointed "stable genius" in the White House will automatically declare himself the winner for just showing up at the debates, because for a "narcissist" like Trump, preparing would not only be a waste of time but an insult to his intelligence!

Given that this President and his supporters, in their infinite wisdom, have lowered the bar for Biden in the debates based on their repeated attacks on hie mental fitness to be President, the former VP should have no difficulties far exceeding expectations!

As the "blue collar" candidate who had to overcome a speech impediment, Biden will be fully prepared to put in the time and effort to prepare himself for the debates - Trump, on the other hand, with his colossal ego and sense of "entitlement," has never put in an honest days work in his life and will try to bluff his way through, making up the facts as he goes along!​

He said that if the police come into your neighborhood in military vehicles they become the enemy. Obviously he means they are going to be seen that way, which is true. Having lived somewhere where this has happened, I can attest to the fact that it causes the police to be seen as the enemy. To take from that “Biden said the police are the enemy!” is a desperate attempt to mischaracterize and smear him.

Actually I think Biden unscripted would be better than the ball and chain his management team have connected him to a teleprompter. I've said repeatedly in posts I have no doubt Joe can stand on a a stage and make it through to the end.....he did this in the Dem primaries....no teleprompter and he spoke....not that I agreed with his polices but he did articulate fair enough.

But you say attacks on the potential of his mental fitness? How about putting it this way raising the question as to whether he's fit that is to govern the nation. Look McCain had to face that question......Reagan had to face that question and they were younger men then Biden. Sorry but Biden does give signs at least in my way of assessing things that perhaps the question should be asked. It'll be up to him from now till the end of the campaign to convince the greater number that's not a concern.

He was speaking with the press daily, Taking questions at times up to an hour, just not in a formal conference.

He stated that way and has stayed that way.

Dispelling on live television that he hides from the press, Trump took 68 questions from 35 reporters. And if the failed follow-up questions are included, the number soars closer to 90.

How does that compare to the press conference former President Barack Obama took after he was clobbered in the first midterm election he faced?

In that 2010 performance, Obama took 22 questions from 10 reporters who offered soft questions, not the types of challenges Trump faced.
