Hi there,

So something that really fed my soul recently, was this:

The Holy Spirit, when He comes, will not inevitably bring "blessing".

This accords with a few scriptures: "I do not say I will pray to the Father once I am in Heaven" (Jesus, paraphrase), "Will the Son of Man find faith when He returns?" (Jesus, paraphrase), "Moses accuses you" (Jesus, paraphrase) - all of which taken together, point to the necessity of faith, even when it seems beyond testing.

But what did Jesus specifically say about the Holy Spirit? Some know and some don't and the Lord reveals Himself to whom He will. The point is, we are to be about the Lord's work, Lord willing.

The Holy Spirit does not rule out blessing (or favour or commendation, for that matter), but we must certain in our hearts we are not grieving Him, by expecting from Him that which the Love of Jesus can never give.

Praise be to God, for the opportunity to learn more about this.

Thanks.
