This is a hard question to answer. Today, I hit repeat on my Ipod when I heard Mama Cass Eliot's tasty version of "Dream a little dream of me" Sly and the family stone's "if you want me to stay" Mavis Staples "the weight" and Harold Melvin and the Blue Note's "If you don't know me by now"

Right now, my Ipod is syncing to my classical music library, and tomorrow I will be listening to Mozart piano concertos, Beethoven's Sonatas and Bach's suites for solo cello among others

All great songs.

If we could separate classical music for the time being. I think that's perhaps interesting on a separate thread. Maybe i shouldn't be distinguishing the two, but it's my thread so i shall. :p

So many; beloved for so many different reasons:

Ar Hyd y Nos, because my grandfather used to sing it.

Abba's Fernando, because of associations with the Royal Canadian Artillery and the fellowship of other CWAC's.

Boston's The Launch from Third Stage -- it was my wedding processional.

Mike & the Mechanics The Living Years and Billy Joel's A Matter of Trust and This is the Time and Degarmo and Key's Everlasting Love that Dean covered and used to sing to me when we were courting.

Grieg's Morning from Peer Gynt

The African Children's Choir's From a Distance
