  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have a prayer request.

My sister's rottweiler injured my small dog by picking her up and shaking her in a fight over a bone. My dog's leg is hurt and is very shakened up by it.

Dang, that sucks. Are you going to take it to a vet?

We're planning on taking her tomorrow. She's not terribly injured, her leg is just sore, or so my parents say.

Is that other dog in trouble?

Am I the only one that had burritos today?

I pity you people eating turkey and Id rather turn vegan than eat ham.
Christmas burritos?

I wouldn't say no... but not comparable to a Christmas turkey!

And agreed on the ham point.

I agree, not comparable because Burritos are SOOOOO much better.

turkey is overrated.

Not only that but Thanksgiving was only a month ago.... how many times you "turkey" people need to stuff yo faces? (Okay I know Canadian thanksgiving wasn't in Nov. but still) :sput:

She must be one of the decent ones. Strange if she wasn't. Isn't he jobless now? Sadly she might just leave him.

she would seem to be the good kind of feminist since she did not call him a "poolord" and all that. the evil kind of feminist would probably not be with him at all in the first place.

human behavior can be complex. there are a number of reasons she could leave or stay with him depending on who she is, how she thinks, how she is wired, what experiences in life she went through and blablabla.

Work continues to be ridiculous. Company acquisitions are an accounting nightmare. The best part is--no holiday bonus of any kind. During the most stressful stretch of the whole time I have worked here.

My goal is to have a different job by the end of 2018.

@Paulie079, sorry to hear about your situation. I really hope that things get better for you, and I will be praying for you!

Now that Christmas is over it's time to get to work on my art project again. I hope I can stay motivated to do a good job on it and not get too frustrated with it or anything.

Anyone else remember playing Trivial Pursuit with their family or friends (in my case family) on Christmas get-together occasions? o_O

We kept joking last night about the crazy times that went on when anyone on my mother's side of the family in Chattanooga would be playing this game as a group of four or higher, way back when I was a child. ... So then we decided to break out the game again and play on the spot. It took two hours, but thankfully the rowdiest it ever got was one of us rolling our eyes whenever we were about to read off a question for the other team and saying, "Oh my gosh, this one is soooo easy." ^_^

Oh I remember Trivial Pursuit. We used to play it when I was a kid. Of course, I didn't know a lot of the answers back then and probably still wouldn't, haha. But I think it would be fun to try it again. ^_^

I just got my butt handed to me by my 5yr old nephew. Star Wars Battlefront was brutal. I could never get the hang of the view change. Curse you play station for the constant need to change angles.

I’ve always liked Trivial Pursuit, but the people around me usually are not interested. Shame.
Never played it on Christmas but we did play..... of course I was but a child and didn't know any of the answers so I hated it..... now I know everything so they wouldn't dare play me today :cool1:
