CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I wonder, is it worth opening up a separate bank account for savings? I'm currently saving 30% of my total income, but I'm wondering if it's worth the hassle of setting up another account, and filling out a load of forms. (I'm a bit lazy with this sort of thing.)
I've heard that ISA's are quite good. I'm also looking at saving for pension now.

New job starts tomorrow evening

Well, when I get my new car.... IF I have time.... I plan on meeting many a CFer cause cars are made to be driven, Im gonna drive the crap out of it.
Id do it with my car now... IF parts werent an issue. Driving a car with new-newish parts out of state..... sane and generally safe. Driving a car long distance out of state while playing part russian roulette (Part is just as old as the part you replaced, which is about my only option at this point since the aftermarket for my car is VERY scarce....) is just insanely stupid. Towing a car up the road... not that big a deal. Towing the car from say.... NY to Tx..... may as well set it on fire and walk back.
Cars aren't meant to be from work to home and from grocery store home.... they are to take you where you wanna go...... and the awesome ones take you where you wanna go, you just enjoy the ride more and look awesome when you arrive.
Im an at home kinda guy.... I love being at home and all...... but IF Im out in the world........ I wanna see MUCH more of it than just a block from home.
Im a hermit bull..... Im perfectly happy to curl up in a blanket and spend my day or night at home..... but if I am pulled from my home...... its adventure time.
