  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

New store owner did that and so did the manager today. The one with the manager was for "appearance" in front of a customer, though I'm pretty sure it backfires if I don't get a response and the customer sees that....
With the store owner I was having lunch in the staff room.

I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure Ive said that Ive dated women who were tall, short, plump, athletic. I just have a problem with really thin women. I saw pics of my grandfather when he came home from Germany after WW2. He looked like a skeleton and that was after nearly 2 months of eating double rations. And every time I see someone who is really, really skinny, I see those pics in my mind.

@William67 I tend to prefer slightly heavier women too, like maybe size medium or larger. Their curves are so pretty.
HOWEVER
Please, be more respectful of the ladies. All women are beautiful whether they are your type or not. It is not polite to compare them to dried out corpses.

Um, no. I will continue to express myself as I see fit. As for my mother, recently she saw some women on tv wearing bikinis and she commented about their hip bones protruding. She said, "reminds me of those springing heifers John XXXXX had that I called the ASPCA about". John XXXXX owned a dairy farm near us and he was starving his young cows because they weren't giving milk yet. Every day my mother would go by his farm and see dead cows laying in his fields.

The one thing my mother taught me above all else was to be honest and that "plain talk is easily understood".
