  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Excited for comic con this weekend. And my guy made me a new tiara tonight that was way better than my original. So happy I found someone who wanted to be the armor maker to my costume seamstress.

Well, I did just see the second half of The Cinema Snob's review of the classic Friday the 13th installment, Jason Takes Manhattan, where Jason kind of sort of briefly scares a couple of city blocks' worth of Manhattanites, after spending the first hour of the movie slaughtering nearly every crewman and graduate student aboard a cruise ship that wasn't anywhere near Manhattan, so I am a bit nervous about possibly meeting the man behind the hockey mask himself during my trek through downtown Houston back home from work late Friday night. ... I mean, maybe he decided to "take" Houston, next, almost thirty years after the failed Manhattan venture.
