real easy to answer, go to a gun show , sit on a bench, and watch, be entertained by all the gun nuts hopping around. If you sit quietly, you will be able to hear the gun nuts communicate by their excited chatter as the vendors display the newest in firearms. Some times, if you're lucky, gun nuts will form a small group and play act as if in a gun fight, pointing fingers at one and another, and making bang bang noises. This usually occurs after a purchase of a brand new firearm.
Now, when in the midst of a gun nut rally, be sure to blend in by using some basic techniques such as wear blue jeans, (guy's make sure wear the relaxed fit cut), T-shirts are common attire especially if sporting a favorite gun nut logo i.e Smith&Wesson, Glock, Remington, Luger, just to name a couple.
Well, enjoy, you should be able to blend in successfully and be entertained for hours. Caution, do not feed the gun nuts, they are known to bite the hand that feeds them.
I tell you, it's better than feeding squirrels at the park on a warm sunny afternoon.

So what constitutes a gun nut? Is a gun nut someone to be feared? Do you accept the idea of a Christian gun nut? Now it's your turn.

a gun nut is someone who most likely stole a gun or bought it illegally for the purpose of robbing or being in a gang-shoot out (and shooting a small child in the line of fire, etc.) Someone who premeditates a predatorial action against an unsuspecting victim and possibly shoots them after robbing them (for the heck of it.)

Just on the news tonight, a stolen firearm from home was used to shoot and kill a young women in Columbus. Stolen guns are used to kill, maybe because they are easy to obtain and sell.

That isn't true. The death rate by guns is highest in southern states where gun ownership is also highest.

In 2007, gun deaths were around 30000, but not now. The latest data for 2011 shows gun deaths were around 9000. More guns means less crime. See the link below for additional info.

You are only citing murders. You're not taking into account accidental deaths, suicides, 'legal shootings' and undetermined deaths by gun.

You know what, I'm not sure who he's directing that post to. My name is on it but it doesn't pertain to me. I go to maybe four Gun Shows per year with my wife and have never witnessed the behavior described. In fact, my wife says the people at Gun Shows are more polite and friendlier than the people she used to work for and wait on at Jewelry Shows.

I agree with you, but some would not stop there. Some would call me a gun nut because I legally own more than 1 gun. Some would call my wife a gun nut since she legally owns more than 1 gun. Some would call us both gun nuts because we own any guns. We've called the police twice where we currently live. Once it took them 15-20 minutes, the other about 30-45 minutes. [We live in a semi-rural area, 6 miles from town]. The very first time my wife caught teenagers trying to steal stuff off our Cape Cod type porch, they ran off as she yelled back at them, "I've got a gun and know how to use it". They didn't come back. When we reported it to the local police, the officer on the phone said next time fire a couple of shots off in the air. That's what I did when I caught two late teens trying to do who knows what at 2:00 am in the morning, except I fired into the ground. Its much safer that way if you know where your underground lines are buried.

I cited statistics and where I got them from. So far, you've provided nothing but socialist propaganda without foundation. The fact is children are more likely to drown in a swimming pool than accidentally get shot by a firearm. It isn't even close.
