CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I got a remote starter for my van! We live in Canada (lots of snow and cold temps) so now with garage door opener in one hand and remote starter in the other i can stay toasty warm!!

We typically don't buy eachother gifts for the holidays - only on birthdays and Mohter's Day/Father's Day and those are from the kids - at Christmas we usually pick an itemt hat we have bene wanting or needing and get that together. This year we wanted a new television cabinet and picked one from my parents antique shop that is from India it is gorgeous. My dad won't be able to deliver it to us until the spring

We didn't technically get each other gifts this year. Instead, we decided to make a big purchase, so that was our Christmas gift to each other. We got a 36" flat screen Sony TV. It's very nice and hubby's been wanting one for like 4 years.

Got an xbox, new boots, this AWESOME popcorn bowl that my kids made for me that my wife had fired at some shop. Their handprints on the outside and they painted the inside of it.

We had a pretty tight Christmas this year so we only got each other one gift. But we got THE BEST gift from my husband's twin sister - a weekend at a bed and breakfast. AND she's going to watch our kids! So we actually get to be ALONE from Friday afternoon until Sunday afternoon!! We haven't been alone for more than one night since Feb. 14, 1999 (The night before our 5 year-old was born!). I can't wait to go!!
