As a gun owner we often hear some people say "If they come to my door, it would be a blood bath!". Some of these people are christians mind you.

So what is your view? If the government banned all guns or at least ones you own. Then came to where you live with a few men and had papers that allow them to take them (or face arrest). What would you do? Let them take them? Fight it out? Fight it out in a court? Lie?

I'd honestly give them what they want. It's better than going to prison for breaking some law and making the event much harder then it needed to be. And I know there are always other "ways" of getting a new gun.

I would guess the percentage of people willing to actually throw away their comfortable lives for priviledge of having the guns would be minute.

Fight it out?
You want to fight a swat team? Good luck with that one. You keep your mouth shut and you comply with their instructions. They are going to try to get you to incriminate yourself, but there is nothing anywhere that says you have to play that game with them. Although most of us do not every break the law so we do not have anything to worry about.

As Sketcher points out, confiscating guns is by definition illegal in the United States not that a thing being illegal, immoral or unethical will necessarily stop government agents from doing that thing. If someone came to my house and claimed to be there to confiscate my guns I would have a good laugh.

Let me rephrase that then. Minute percentage of gunowners would actually throw away their comfortable lives if their right of having guns would be taken from them.

We already saw how easily people gave away their rights with patriot act, we saw how easily they give away their freedom of the press, how easily they can be made to go against other first amendment stuff.

The gun owners talk a good fight , but that is all most of them are ever willing to do.
