Jesus was a radical and was certainly no ordinary Jew and even called them hypocrites - Matt. 23:13 KJV

The closest doctrine to that of Christ is the present day Christ Adelphians. The trinity doctrine was a later ' development ' that corrupted that Original teaching.

THE TRINITY ADMITTED NOT TO BE A SCRIPTURAL DOCTRINE

In view of these repeated and consistent statements and inferences of the subordinate position of Jesus one can understand why most Trinitarians admit that their doctrine of God cannot be found in the Bible. The late Dr. W R Matthews, Dean of St Paul's Cathedral, wrote:
"It must be admitted by everyone who has the rudiments of an historical sense that the doctrine of the Trinity, as a doctrine, formed no part of the original message. St Paul knew it not, and would have been unable to understand the meaning of the terms used in the theological formula on which the Church ultimately agreed". (27)
Or more recently:
"In order to understand the doctrine of the Trinity it is necessary to understand that the doctrine is a development, and why it developed. ... It is a waste of time to attempt to read Trinitarian doctrine directly off the pages of the New Testament". (28)

Don't be silly. Jesus didn't HAVE a religion.

Religion is a set of rituals by which one hopes to garner God's or gods' attention and favor, but Jesus IS God and doesn't have to get his own attention or favor.
Doesn't it talk about his obedience to G-d? "Obedient unto death?" It's not as simple as you are making it to be.

As for rituals, what do you call such things as Passover, Sabbath, Festival of Lights, yada yada....

Sorry for the Late Post, I lost the Forum address.

As far as the claim goes that Jesus = God

Why was it necessary for this ' godman ' to offer a sacrifice (not daily as the other high-priests but just once) FIRST for itself to itself, before it also offered up a sacrifice for the people to itself?

Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. (Heb. 7:27) KJV

Thanks
