Get the dvd of We Were Soldeirs... - besides being an excellant movie, the DVD version has the extra features and the background shots, crew interviews, etc. Some of the soldiers and family members of those who were in the actual battle are in the special features.

3000 Miles to Graceland - by far gotta be the best movie done by kurt Russel and maybe the best done by Kosner. One of them "must have" movies.

Elf (Will Ferrell)
about a human baby orphan that accidentally ends up in santas sack and is raised by elves later to go to NYC to find his father.
Good, has a lot of innocent humor and simple special effects that make this movie fun to watch for the family. I would say if you are into santa movies this would approach the very good range. I enjoyed it.

The Legend Of Bagger Vance (Will Smith, Matt Damon)
story of a woman trying to save her families fortune ending up hosting a golf tournament between two greats and one local golfer that lost his swing and had to refind it with the help of a mysterious golf caddie.
Good to Very Good. good story that is a little slow and bumpy in places, If you are not into golf you may still like the character interaction... for golfers it is a story of inspiration with realistic action.

spoof of Top Gun with pokes at other movies also, rather corny, stupid, even funny in places.. about a navy pilot that had dropped out but was asked to come back and save the day, and of course win the woman.
Fair to Good, you have to pay attention to things as there are a lot of funny things going on in the background action, this is very entertaining the first time but marginal lasting quality due to trying to balance a good story with a good poke at another story too.

One Man's Hero (Tom Berrenger)
story of an irishman in the US army at the time of the mexican american war. The leader of a group decides to desert due to mistreatment and he and his men switch sides to fight for Mexico.
Fair to Good, this is an interesting movie with a lot of gritty intense drama, decent action and good story but screenplay is marginal. I suffers from transition between emotions and seems too long to keep interest with too much unneeded scenes and dialog.
