    The Psalmist said,'I will lift up my eyes to the hills,from whence comes my help. My help comes from the Lord,who made the heavens and the earth'. We have beautiful hills and beacons around us that remind us of our Creator God. We can completely trust in Him to help us in our daily lives!

    No excitement to report I'm afraid. Just a nice big gap where all the furniture has been moved. But, as they say, watch this space! Once all the furniture has been moved back, I am planning to sit in, chill out and watch some nature and travel programmes on catch-up TV!

    A couple of weeks ago, I spent a few days up in gorgeous Northumberland in a Friary overlooking the coast. It was a real blessing having fellowship with the brothers and spending time with God walking along the beach at sunrise and spending time exploring places where the missionaries brought Christianity to this part of the world. I went there to be reminded of God's creation and in hope He would meet with me in a special way and do something new in my life. I enjoyed the fellowship and although I wasn't aware of anything particularly happening, it was a refreshing break and since I have come back home there have been some notable things that have happened. For a number of months, I had been experiencing unpleasant physical symptoms which required referral to a Hospital Consultant. The symptoms seem to have gone now and I'm baffled what I'm going to tell Consultant when I see him in a couple of weeks.
    I am nobody special, but our God really is amazing.

    On the subject of creation, I've put together a music composition called "Woven" based on Psalm 139. I was inspired by us being God's handiwork, Him looking after us and caring for us as the ones He created.

    17 How precious are your thoughts about me, O God.
    They cannot be numbered!
    18 I can’t even count them;
    they outnumber the grains of sand!
    And when I wake up,
    you are still with me!

    so relaxing....

    We are going this afternoon to the Wetlands Wildlife Trust at Slimbridge,Gloucestershire. It is such an interesting place with all the birds and otters and other wildlife. Beautiful surroundings and facilities. The pink flamingoes are an attraction and the majestic swans and every kind of duck you can think of. I have not seen Donald Duck there yet! Looking forward to seeing the mischievous otters again!

    I love the outdoors and nature and always find new spots in the local area to go walking and cycling. Our countryside and wildlife is precious and we all have a duty to look after it and preserve it.

    We had a great time on Saturday afternoon at the Wetlands Wildlife Trust in Slimbridge. We saw the frogs,toads and meets and then the birds,swans,ducks and geese. Then the otters and voles and mice. The children enjoyed the Welly Park where those with wellies can jump over the puddles and into them! They are building an Aviary and theatre to hold over 350 people. Cranes and flamingoes. So much open space and ponds for the wildlife. Beautiful,peaceful surroundings for the wildlife and visitors! Playgrounds for the children and places for tea and refreshments. Yes! I was blessed!

    Do you have a bird table or do you use a tree feeder for the birds?

    Sounds like you had a great day out! Having grown up in Devon, I have loved the countryside all my life and always like going out walking or biking on my days off - weather and energy permitting! Amongst the busyness of life It always reminds me of how beautiful God's creation is and how it was meant to be enjoyed.

    Being a night owl, I stayed up to put together a slideshow on the theme of God's creation. It's a collection of my photos taken around the coast in South Wales, Ceredigion, Northumberland and various nature reserves around Staffordshire and the Midlands - all put to a couple of pieces of music I created.
