What were you trying to do then? What I was trying to do was counter tulc's, what I consider to be ridiculous, assertion that something from 7 or 8 years ago has no meaning today by presenting a case in which it is clear that something from 40 years ago does still have meaning and consequences today.

uhmmm...one was about someone running for an office this year and one was an article from 8 years ago and wasn't shown to be connected to anything going on now. Does that help?
