What is the religion of Adam and Eve?

Religion says Jesus came to make bad people good. Jesus came to save anyone who believes in him.

Religion sees people as the enemy. Jesus sees sin as the enemy.

Religion says believing grace is dangerous. Jesus says grace is the cure for overcoming sin.

Religion grades righteousness on a curve. Jesus grades righteousness on a cross.

Religion makes God the boss and you the employee. Jesus makes God the father and you the son.

Religion says only listen to, attend, and watch “Christian” things. Jesus says look for truth everywhere.

Religion is fueled by fear and punishment. Jesus is fueled by love and mercy.

Religion is safe and practical. Jesus is radical and unpredictable.

Religion says if you obey God, he will give you life. Jesus says if you believe in him, you will have eternal life.

Conclusion: Religion is just a man made concept that comes with traditions, laws, requirements and outward action to numb own's conscience to FOOL yourself into believing that he/she is accepted by God.
We teamed up with Faith Counseling. Can they help you today?

Religion is certainly a human creation. The ideals behind Christianity are not. Follow the ideals. Follow Jesus and his Word. If you don't like the religion, that's fine. A religion won't save anyone. Only the grace of God will save someone.

Love your whole post. This bit here about what to listen to, attend and watch...might be a little nuanced.

Psa 101:3 I will set nothing wicked before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; It shall not cling to me.

Phil 4:8 "Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things."

While there are some secular things that may fit the above description, the vast majority of music, television, cinema we have today most certainly does not. The scriptures set a high standard for what we see with our eyes and hear with our ears, but unfortunately most Christians don’t even try to reach it. If you need an example, look how many pastors and elders watch the filth on the “evangelical news network” (Fox News) as part of their every day routine. Such a disappointment...

Because they did not OBEY God, they went hiding, fearing, blaming, covering-up in short, dying.

    Romans 5:12,16-17 NKJV
[12] Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned- [16] And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification. [17] For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)

They had a relationship with God which they spoiled.
It was God who started sacrificial worship, notice that when Cain and Abel sacrificed to God, there was no rebuke about their making a sacrifice, only a rebuke to Cain for a wrong sacrifice and a wrong attitude.

The O T is basically a repeat of this and modern worship continues to repeat this error.

Religion is defined as a system of belief and practices. My religion is Christianity. We believe in one God, the Father, Almighty Maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only-begotten Son, our Lord. Conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, buried, dead, and on the third day rose from the grave. He ascended into heaven, where He sits at the right hand of the Father, from whence He will come again to judge the living and the dead. His kingdom will have no end. And in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. He has called us to love the Lord our God, and to love our neighbors as our selves. His Gospel is peace, for we are justified freely by God's grace on account of what He has done, and we are reconciled to God, and our inheritance is an eternal inheritance, life everlasting in the Age to Come.

That's not "religion" the way Paul (1 Timothy 5:4) and James (James 1:26-27) understood it. Christianity is different from other religions in that we have the substitutionary atonement of Christ and a relationship with God, but it is still a religion. We still have worship, we still have prayer, we still have faith, we still have obedience. It's not a "do this in order to earn your way into Heaven" motivation, but it's still religious.
