The Jews are not saved. They are not believing in Jesus Christ. That is the difference.
The Old Testament Saints were not believing in Jesus Christ either.
Jesus Christ came at a specific point in History:
Galatians 4:4-6
King James Version
4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
The Old Testament had faith in God's Promise, not specifically Jesus Christ, and Paul makes it clear this specific faith was not in the world during the Covenant of Law, which would imply it was not in the world prior to the formalized Covenant of Law:
Galatians 3:21-25
King James Version
21 Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.
22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
There was faith under Law, right?
So what is the faith that is spoken of before it came, and after it came?
God bless.
