What is the difference between Christianity and other religions?

Christianity is admitting your fault against God and then realizing that you need to trust in God to Save and Change you. All false religion is based on merit, earning your own salvation.

Christianity is trusting in Jesus to Save you.

False religion is trusting in yourself or anyone or anything other then Jesus to save you. For instance going to church, Bible study, knowledge, sacraments, good works, being a good person, reaching enlightenment, dieing for your god, etc.

Christianity is based on giving and serving, all other false religion is based on receiving.

Christianity is based on Love, all false religion is based on pride, greed, selfishness, power, etc.

"all religions except the Christian are autosoteric" = Self-saving; based on the principle of salvation by one's own efforts or character

by B B Warfield. The Plan of Salvation.

What Warfield is saying, all religions trust in self for salvation except the Christian religion. We trust entirely in Christ.

When you say "false religion" are you talking about every religion that isnt Christian....or is their room for others to not be false as well? Kind of confusing when you say "false" intend of "all other," if you do, in fact, mean the latter.

The Christian religion also talks about being filled with a spirit that dwells within.....whom then leads and guide you into truth. Whether you feel you become one with this spirit or it is a separate being inside of you....is semantics.... but this is not far from what you attribute to other religions.

With the other religions it is still self improvement that saves = works.

Faith without works is dead, being alone...... And are you sure that you have study every other religion to make such a claim? or are you encouraging that all stay in their current religion and right all others off as false...even if their religion isnt Christianity?

The main difference is that God sacrificed for us, period, and in other religions, people are required to supply the sacrifice... usually to satisfy some kind of appetite of their god.

This is why I quoted Warfield, trusting he knows what he is talking about in all other religions. He held 5 Doctorates and should know.

But faith is a fruit of the Holy Spirit available only in Christ. Other religions have human faith based on whatever motivates them to believe.

Christianity puts a since of guilt and shame on the follower.....and introduces a hell as a physical place one goes if they dont believe the interpretation preached the church.

ah, notice that actual feelings of guilt and shame people have actually come from other people disapproving of us, in childhood, and later this old feeling getting activated again. It's not needed to be ashamed to believe, but once we do finally realize how often we've done non-love to so many people in life, there is a wonderful moment of coming to reality, of finally realizing we need a transformer more powerful than the urge to fight and win, someone that can make us rise above that animal law of the jungle. Humans need something to keep us from forever-war, something better than only a temporary armistice from having killed more of them, only a lull, but instead a true transformation. We are indeed guilty of not loving others as we should at some point in life, and He is the Savior we all need.

How, if in some way, does this correlate with Yahweh convicting someone (in conscience?) so they either turn to Yahweh in repentance , or they seer their own conscience and continue to sin..... ?

I have no problem recounting and reliving past sins and dwelling in a guilty state of consciousness. However, I believe that Jesus wants us to go and sin no more.....and removes guilt and shame once forgiven.
