The fruit of the false prophet is being ecumenical in nature as gathering grapes of thorns and figs of thistles and yet the tree of that fruit being given is by broadening the way.
So what is the way?
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
So broadening the way in how we approach God the Father by is the work of iniquity, but are there clues in identifying as to what that work of inqiuity is for when Jesus says to those that profess Him these judgments?
Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Luke 13:27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
One could argue: they were never saved, but...
Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
By being engaged in an iniquity is how they are denying Him and thus He denies them, but they are still His as seen at this link in 2 Timothy 2:10-26:

In 2 Timothy 2:19-21 speaks of those in His House that did not depart from iniquity as being vessels unto wood and earth: which are vessels unto dishonour in His House.
So the idea of them never having been saved in the first place is not true.
Other clues to what this iniquity is... Matthew 7:24-27 shows the consequences for broadening the way and that many houses are falling.
Another clue as to the consequences of this iniquity is that they claimed to have eaten & drunken in thy presence in Luke 13:26 which would suggest a supernatural filling.
The Nicene creed which was ecumenical in nature broadened the way in the worship place by including the Holy Spirit with the Father & the Son, disregarding how we are to come to God the Father only by way of the Son in worshipping Him by honouring & glorifying the Son and thereby honouring & glorifying the Father Whom the Holy Spirit is leading believers to do since He, too, was sent to glorify the Son.
From this broadening of the way, we have "holy laughter" movement going across the denomenational barriers in 1994 as many seek after this phenomenon to receive again and again as being drunk in the "Spirit" and thus many houses are falling down.
Proverbs 25:26 A righteous man falling down before the wicked is as a troubled fountain, and a corrupt spring....28 He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.
1 Corinthians 14:32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. 33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
Jesus specified that He is the only way to the Father. He said also what that iniquity was and that was by broadening the way. That means they were not cutting Him out, just denying Him as being the only way to God.
Works that deny Him.... will lead to wayward believers being denied.
Explain how and why denomenations that do not seek after such a phenomenon had suffered a thief to break through other than by that practise of worshipping the Holy Spirit with the Father & the Son?
Explain when they had invoked that phenomenon again, they called upon the Holy Spirit to come & fall on them again in worship and yet so many churches within those denomenations believe that the holy laughter movement is not of God?
Jesus gave the solution to avoid that work of iniquity in Luke 13:24 by striving to enter through the straight gate. That was for those that are already saved believers to do as His disciples in coming to Him in worship.
Extreme? Matthew 7:16-20 testified that this being ecumenical in nature demands that the tree be made all good or forget about avoiding judgment as stated in verse 19.
Matthew 7:19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
One could say that the warning is about saying that there are other ways to be saved other than by way of Jesus Christ as being the broadening of the way....
BUT... where do you see many houses eating & drinking in this presence and falling down as a result for disregarding that the Son is the only way to the Father?
John 10:1Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber....7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
One could say that it is just wrong to exclusively worship the Holy Spirit, but Jesus identied the iniquity as broadening the way in Matthew 7:13-14 and the solution was to strive ye to enter through that straight gate: Luke 13:24 so Jesus really is the only way to come to God the Father in worship of Him of which the Holy Spirit in us is leading us to the same as He is doing in glorifying the Son and by Him, glorify the Father in His name.
So the work of iniquity in broadening the way is worshipping the Holy Spirit with the Father & the Son, because it is denying Jesus as being the only way we can come to God the Father in worship of Him & in praising Him.
The Nicene creed is where the practise of the Holy Spirit with the Father & the Son came from officially as an agreement among all the churches and why those phenomenons are occuring across the denomenaltioanl barrier as an ecumenical creed is why God is allowing this phenomenon to occur as a corrupt tree will bring forth an evil fruit.
That is why many houses are falling by these phenomenons as they suffer a thief to break through by that broadening of the way in how they come to God the Father by in worship of Him.
The Holy Spirit is God, but ignoring Him in worship is not the offense when believers are ignoring what the Holy Spirit is leading them to do...the will of God to come to God the Father in worship of Him by glorifying the Son.
John 13:31 Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him. 32 If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorify him in himself, and shall straightway glorify him.
John 5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: 23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.
Being how believers are going to be judged in this manner at the pre tribulational rapture event, it is time for those that hear, to get ready by narrowing the way in how we come to God the Father in worship of Him, in fellowship with Him, and in prayer to Him as by the ONLY way and that is by way of the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
