Daniel in verse 2 was citing the 70 years that were prophesied for the Babylonian captivity - so that the land could have it's sabbaths. Getting the Jews out of land, making the land desolate, ensured the land could rest, as the Jews had continuously worked the land instead of letting it rest like they should have.

A sabbath for the land is every 7 years, no crops are planted, so the land could rejuvenate itself during that year off, to continue to produce crops. 2Chronicles36:20-21.

20 And them that had escaped from the sword carried he away to Babylon; where they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia:
21 To fulfil the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her sabbaths: for as long as she lay desolate she kept sabbath, to fulfil threescore and ten years.

When Gabriel gave the new prophecy in verse 24. Those were also based on sabbatical years, the shmita cycle. Once a person becomes aware of the sabbatical year and how it fits into the Babylonian captivity. Then the confirmation of the covenant in Daniel 9:27 tied to the sabbatical year in Deuteronomy 31:10 - then it is easy to understand that "Antichrist" means the King of Israel (illegitimate) forth coming - instead of the rightful Christ, King of Israel - Jesus.

And that the peace and safety saying - will be because the Jews and the world will be thinking they have entered the messianic age.

Mostly true, but the Anti-Christ is not "Revealed" until he goes forth to Conquer, not in his Peace making days per se. The First Seal sends him forth to Conquer. That happens in the Middle of the Week, so the First Seal is opened in the middle of the Week.

The Holy Spirit is not removed, the Church in whom the Holy Spirit operates is removed of course, but the plagues are brought forth by the Holy Spirit of course. The Church is removed thus the church blocks the Man of Sin/Anti-Christ from coming forth.

The Church of course is not... removed during the tribulation, which is why Jesus and Apostle Paul warned the Church about the coming false one, and to watch lest one be deceived (2 Thess.2; Matt.24:23-26).

Only to those in Christ that are not deceived will that coming "man of sin" be revealed to.

1. the deceived orthodox Jews will think it's Messiah that has come - not revealed
2. the deceived of the Church that fall away will think it's Christ that has come - not revealed

The next thing to happen is for Jesus to return two state solution or not!
