Ok I have been a christian for 26 years. God literally saved me from a demonic spirit wanting to kill me.
The two things that drive me are:
1) God has promised us Christians more than we could ever hope for.
2) We have one opponent, a supernatural enemy, who is crafty and constantly trying to destroy us.

Jesus has given us a great commission to save the people in this world from said enemy.

How can we be so caught up in our own beliefs when the people of this world are perishing?

I don't understand what you mean by "our own beliefs." Any mature Christian who is prepared to evangelize will have been trained/honed by the Holy Spirit to move in that capacity (even if our understanding of the Kingdom is still provisional). That is a structured framework.

God doesn't want us to abandon everything that He has built up in us thus far (though He certainly reserves the right to build on top of it further as we go).

We (who do) are here, but CF limits that topic. (A big recurring flame war was whether Christians can be oppressed by demons or not.) Otherwise, the Spiritual Gifts sub-forum might be a better fit.

It seems like you are contrasting "our own beliefs" with "outreach" [to the lost] as if abandoning those beliefs would make us more effective in outreach. But in order to reach them, you must have a reasonably good idea of Who Jesus is and what He wants.

Those would be "our own [provisional] beliefs." They are necessary for the outreach that you desire.

"from the power of Satan to God" > in Acts 26:18.

And our Apostle Paul also says there is >

"the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience." (in Ephesians 2:2)

So, not only are there demons, but there is Satan's horrible and nasty spirit which "works" inside of people who are disobeying God's word . . . degrading people and ruining people in anti-love stuff which is cruel to their own souls; this is why we need how our Father's peace almighty is able to guard our "hearts and minds through Christ Jesus," as we have in Philippians 4:6-7.

So, of course ones will deny this and claim to represent Christianity!!

But this is right in the Bible . . . basic Christian belief.

And our Apostle Paul says there are >

"the cup of demons" > in 1 Corinthians 10:21;

"doctrines of demons" > in 1 Timothy 4:1;

"demons" who "believe---and tremble!" > in James 2:19;

"demons" who are worshiped > Revelation 9:20;

"spirits of demons" > Revelation 16:14;

Babylon "a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit" > Revelation 18:2.

We are to point others to Jesus ... He does the saving.

Thank you sometimes I think I might be loosing my mind. I am however reminded when I stay in my Bible that all this that I am going through will work together for good for those that love God and are called according to His purposes.

That is a very good point, I get so sorrowful and alarmed that people don't know Him. I am so concerned that maybe I could of done more.

If you are pointing others to Jesus (and there are many different ways of doing that) then you are doing what you are called to do.

Just like the Lord .... we don't want anyone to perish either ... ;o)

So I have been doing a lot of study on fruits of the spirit, spiritual weapons and armor. I have been studying spiritual gifts, the power of Praise and Supplication.

I am a very unlearned man in theology, doctrine, dogma, and traditions. When I got saved I went to several churches in Sidney MT but none would baptize me. Finally the assembly of God pastor said he was having a service on Tuesday, and I could come on down.

I have been to several churches to try and be apart of a church body. In order to get membership they say I must be baptized again. Which I seem to have a problem with.

On my interpretation of the Armor, I have an antenna mounted on the right side of the Helmet which is also based on Ephesians 6.
