i am just curious. Is it a demonic spirit and not an actual person at all? Or a certain person who worships satan? Is is someone who gives a prophetic utterances that are false, And fake. Are there any prophets left? I've been called a prophet before, yet my parents tell me there are no more true prophets after Jesus Christ. ( I suppose this to be a reformed southern baptist stance) I however am non denominational and Paul gives pretty solid directions to prophets, or atleast those who prophecy.

OffGrid, in the Scripture, a "false" prophet is typically someone like Hananiah who tells God's people "Don't worry, it's all going to be 'ok,' because no matter what you do, you've got success in the Bag!" It could also be someone who prognosticates about the future but isn't even in the ballpark with his prophetic utterance, with no fulfillment at any time, near or far.

And there might be some more to research on this topic, but at the moment, I'm just offering you something quickly off the top of my head, bro!

We do not have prophets today, we have the gift of prophecy. God expects 100% accuracy. Although people say that prophecy is so general that it would be difficult to verify. We see a lot of this with the health and wealth and prosperity people. God is going to bless you and give you health and wealth. This is what people want to hear but the promises of God come with conditions. We have a covenant relationship with God. IF we do our part of the Covenant then we can be sure that God will do His part.

Deuteronomy 18:20
But if any prophet dares to speak a message in My name that I have not commanded him to speak, or to speak in the name of other gods, that prophet must be put to death."

Jesus Christ is Lord. The Son of God the Father the Most High.

So I can agree that a false prophet would be the prosperity message, which is more of a false profit. Lol
Yet is this seriously all? Once I tried writing a hypothesis of revelation however I threw away the papers because I did not want others to get a false interpretation, however I'd say I was pretty spot on and I feel as though I found that Christ would return before the 7th trumpet I presumed at about the 6th trumpet around the battle of armegheddon.
I know I'm not always right..
I do truly aim for righteousness.
I just walk the line due to my zeal for the Lord, and I study the bible so much I get a lot of haters. Granted some people said Jesus had demons, and did stuff for Baal.

Here are some verses concerning false prophets. Read these and you can draw your own conclusions.

Matthew 7:15
Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.

Matthew 24:11
Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many.

Mark 13:22
For false Christs and false prophets will arise, and will show signs and wonders, in order to lead astray, if possible, the elect.

Luke 6:26
Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for their fathers used to treat the false prophets in the same way.

Acts 13:6
When they had gone through the whole island as far as Paphos, they found a magician, a Jewish false prophet whose name was Bar-Jesus.

2 Peter 2
But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves.

Jeremiah 14:14
Then the Lord said to me, “The prophets are prophesying falsehood in My name. I have neither sent them nor commanded them nor spoken to them; they are prophesying to you a false vision, divination, futility and the deception of their own minds.

Jeremiah 23:25
I have heard what the prophets have said who prophesy falsely in My name, saying, ‘I had a dream, I had a dream!

Ezekiel 13:9
So My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and utter lying divinations.

Besides people who prophesy (as others have mentioned), there is the office of a Prophet.

"And [Jesus] Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;..." Ephesians 4:11-13 NKJV

Paul wrote this after Jesus' ascension and said that it would last until we all come
  1. to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God,
  2. to a perfect man, and
  3. to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;...
Since those three things have not happened, yet, it is safe to say that those five-fold ministries are still in place.

Regardless of what some might say, there are still prophets today one does not have to be 100% accurate to be a prophet in the way they define 100% accurate (The rules they tend to apply for accuracy are not found or applied anywhere in the Bible, just 1 out of context reference is commonly used). A better way to put it is prophecy should 100% come from the heart of God.

Short version is, a false prophet is one that intentionally deceives and divides in the name of God. They knowingly are "playing the part" but have no desire to glorify God, only use Him for their own purposes.

You will always get a bunch of conflicting opinions on this topic. So for whatever it is worth, I have personally trained several prophets and I have been trained in the prophetic by seasoned ministers (including Prophets) with close to 200 years of combined experience in the prophetic and with prophets. But, ultimately you've got to decide for yourself. I'm always happy to answer sincere questions.

Well I should have a clear understanding of how prophets and evangelists differ before I step into it. I felt like I could get a lot of minor answers to help refresh my memory and fill in gaps of what I've already learned.

The offices of Apostle and Prophet can teach and evangelize, but teachers (only) and evangelists (only) won't typically function in the offices of Apostle or Prophet.

My advice is to not worry too much about which ministry office your might be called to in the beginning. Just pursue your relationship with God and connect to mature leaders who can speak into your life.

5 fold offices are primary illuminated by flow and function. Meaning a if you are called to be a prophet, as you grow you will think and act like a prophet. It will be clear to yourself and others without the need to announce it. Same with evangelist and all the other offices. Don't put pressure on yourself that isn't needed.

Whale, I am fully capable, and do both quite frequently..

I'm not concerned about pressure.. If anything I am fully capable of handling whatever it is God puts me through so long as I remain faithful.

I find myself having learned so much from the bible it's rather difficult to find someone willing to sit through pressure. Yet I've been sitting in pressure so long that it causes me to live a different lifestyle all together. However I must admit I've been smoking cigarettes and marijuana for about 8 or 9 years. I plan on quitting eventually like my mother did 4 years ago. However I believe going through the withdrawals should benefit me afterwards, and I welcome the hardest withdrawals possible from cigarettes, that my sobriety might be that much realer for me, without waivering. However I believe God watches over me regardless. <3

Jesus has never struck anyone blind for three days. So you have to question Paul's advice.
