What Inspires You?

When it comes to writing, what kinds of things inspire you?

Here are some things that have given me inspiration:

-TV shows I watch
-Youtube videos I watch
-Video games I play
-Music I hear
-Stories I read
-Things that happen to me
-Things I see happen
-Ideas that suddenly come to me out of nowhere!

I was also inspired by a dream I had before, but that only happened once so far.

I would say mostly it's from TV shows and books but a little bit of everything. Sometimes I like a character and want to do my own version of them. Other times it's less direct, such as getting really into a fantasy world like Kingdom Hearts and wanting to create a similar world for myself and potential readers.

Funny thing about inspiration; it's often random. Something just resonates, and I have to write about it.

The Bible inspires me. I write a four page message every week. I’ve found on this forum that there are many versions of the truth. But I just keep on with what I’ve learned and think. Are four written pages to long for a post if you want anybody to read it?

I am inspired by the Bible, movies, TV shows, books, games, art, nature, dreams beauty, what makes me happy and sometimes what makes me sad.

Great stories by other writers or creators. My own experiences and observations of life, the world, and people, to some extent. Music is another big inspiration for me. I've always been able to visualize vivid, detailed scenes, almost like watching a movie of my own making, when listening to certain songs or classical pieces.
