What have we heard?

• “Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.” (Pro 13:10).

There are three type of people:

1 – Proud: they don’t take heed to what people say. Only they are right in their mind. It isn’t in vain that the Creator resists those who are supercilious, but grants grace to the humble (James 4:6). Note that you don’t read in the Holy Scripture that the Creator resist to other kind of people.

2 – Those who hear bad conversation. As Paul said:

• “Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.” (1Cor 15:33).

3 – Those who are careful about how they hear (Luke 8:18). As Jesus said:

• “… For whoever has, to him shall be given; and whoever has not, from him shall be taken even that which he seems to have.” (Luke 8:18).

Considering that the faith comes by hearing (Rom 10:17), if we hark good things, we will ameliorate in character, wisdom, grace, etc.

But, how to know what is the right person whom we ought to walk with?

• “But as God has distributed to each one, as the Lord has called each one, so let him walk. And so I ordain in all churches.” (1Cor 7:17).

One of the big problems is that we try to choose the people with whom we will keep in touch. The order is to preach the gospel, in truth, where we are and let Jesus uses us to manifest His light:

• Those who didn’t long for the truth will go away from us
• Those who consent to stay close to us, will be cleaned up within (Titus 3:4-6) and separated for exclusive use of the Creator (2Cor 3:18; see 1Cor 7:12-14).

So, have a good day walking with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart (2Tim 2:22), always communicating with them as concerning giving and receiving (Phil 4:15).
