Christian members please remember to read the Statement of Purpose threads for each forum within Christian Congregations before posting in the forum.
  3. Please note there is a new rule regarding the posting of videos. It reads, "Post a summary of the videos you post . An exception can be made for music videos.". Unless you are simply sharing music, please post a summary, or the gist, of the video you wish to share.
  4. There have been some changes in the Life Stages section involving the following forums: Roaring 20s, Terrific Thirties, Fabulous Forties, and Golden Eagles. They are changed to Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Golden Eagles will have a slight change.
  5. CF Staff, Angels and Ambassadors; ask that you join us in praying for the world in this difficult time, asking our Holy Father to stop the spread of the virus, and for healing of all affected.
  6. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.

According to the AHA, about 18 percent of U.S. hospitals are private, for-profit hospitals, while 23 percent are owned by state and local governments. The rest are private, nonprofit facilities. Non-Profits do get higher satisfaction marks than for profit entities.

It sounds like it is more than just light chatter though.
It needs an evil spirit behind the words said, or thought.

yes like with evil intent. Thats why I said a spirit or demon of death...wants to kill life.

If someone dies in their sin, they can't really be forgiven.

That applies to you. You don't apply it to things you don't know about.

That applies to you, what applies to you. Everything in the bible applies to everyone. Nobody is exempt from the wages of sin.

We all die. Some die sooner or later the improant thing is we are forgiven and believe, if we believe in Jesus even though we die, we live.

If we die without believing we can no longer be forgiven.

Some people have decided they will not believe ever. This hurts the holy spirit because he cannot be present in an unbeliever. Gifts are not given to the unbelieving...they cannot be opened or used by the unbelieving.

I think lack of faith grieves the holy spirit as well.

jesus upbraided the disciples for not believing he would come back. He was more concerned about that than anything else, like her didnt care if Peter wasnt wearing the right clothes or being outspoken or minor stuff like that.

I think what grieves the Holy Spirit is ignoring the Holy Spirits guidance and direction especially by committing sins over and over again which you have already been convicted about or committing very serious sins which all Christians know they shouldn't do.

Yes not listening to that still small voice, think another poster also said ignoring the holy spirit.

A lot of people just want to go their own way and not Gods way.

The bible say "he who loves me will keep my commandments" also "take my yoke upon you for I am gentle and lowely in heart and you will find rest for your souls".

God is not a strict master, but rather can sympathize with our weaknesses. He draws us to obedience, but does not hate us in the process.

Who is God? Love, joy, peace, gentleness, faithfulness, ect, people who hate, make peoples lives miserable, act with aggression, these things God hates.

Pro 6:16 There are seven things that the LORD hates and cannot tolerate: A proud look, a lying tongue, hands that kill innocent people, a mind that thinks up wicked plans, feet that hurry off to do evil, a witness who tells one lie after another, and someone who stirs up trouble among friends.

    Divisive, hurtful, actions ....

Uh..ok. Dont know who you talkng about but Yes that grieves the holy spirit.

Its best to keep away from those people who do that and God will avenge them.

I was reminded of John the baptist who was full of the holy spirit, and what ticked him off was King Herod sleeping around. He only pointed out king Herods sin but Herod got him beheaded or rather salome did.

That would have been a shock to Jesus when his cousin got killed and grieved him very much. He was so angry because the Pharisees who had the ear of the King did nothing to stop it, maybe they were in on it too. They certainly got a lot of Gods prophets killed.

Why do you think so ?
I believed all along Jesus knew it was going to happen and YHWH'S Plan orchestrated it all perfectly.

Because Jesus had emotions just like us. Also he wept when Lazarus died.
But that was also because nobody believed Him.

If someone close to you got killed wouldnt you be shocked? I would. Even if I had an idea or premonition that it would happen, it would still be a shock.

I don't wonder nor doubt HIS emotions.
Just nothing ever caught HIM by surprise; even the devil[whatever; as HE called him] HE picked as a disciple.

Shock. Perhaps. Yes, even if the death was expected.
