What food do you eat that surprises people?

For me it is:
Fried left over spaghetti
Peanut butter and pretzels (I have a hard time stopping with this one)
Avocado, mayo, salt and pepper, mashed mixed and put on crackers or chips.

Oriental food.

It may seem like no big deal but I spent my entire adolescence and (until recently) adulthood despising it. It caught a lot of family members off guard when my (now) wife and I sent selfies from a Japanese restaurant.

I've never had Japanese food and I bet there are a lot of people who haven't. There are very few Japanese restaurants here that I know of.

I think I know what you mean. Is that like crawfish? We used to have those in the irrigation ditch and they looked like little red lobsters. I don't think that is strange. I have watched the cajon shows and they look delicious if you can eat them without looking at them, lol.

Vegemite and salad sandwiches, cottage cheese and canned beetroot, snowcones without flavouring, cheese slices and dill pickles, steamed fish mixed into mashed sweet potato with sour cream.

Banana and mayonnaise sandwiches, sounded disgusting until I found the nerve to try one. Mmmm.

My childhood friend loved peanut butter and pickle sandwiches; but I just couldn't bring myself to try one.
