Not take care of one's health.

If I would have to make a split second decision I would think so.

Would it be a sin to not look presentable? (Getting out of bed, not fixing hair, messy hair, ungroomed).

Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

I passed by the field of a sluggard, by the vineyard of a man lacking sense, and behold, it was all overgrown with thorns; the ground was covered with nettles, and its stone wall was broken down. Then I saw and considered it; I looked and received instruction. A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest, and poverty will come upon you like a robber, and want like an armed man.

So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.

The command is to love yourself. You cannot love your neighbour if you do not love yourself. So whatever that means in your circumstances.

Being purposefully unhealthy is self destructive, which indicates an underlying spiritual problem. Some people have problems such as overeating, which can lead to health issues. It is important to find out the "why", not just the "what". It's too easy to be judgemental.

As far as being "presentable", that's for the individual to decide. Paul was criticised for being unimpressive in appearance. Lord Jesus did not stand out in the crowd.

A lady I dated was a fashionista. She filled a walk in closet with outfits and accessories. She had dozens of shoes and hand bags. There were large black trash bags on the floor full of clothes. She told me about some clothes she bought on sale. I said, “Take it back.” One day she thanked me for asking her to take all those clothes back to the stores where she bought them.

I had to dress business casual for my job. I had permanent press Oxford shirts and creased pants with black shiny shoes. They fired a young guy who used to wear T-shirts and jeans to work.

Nah, they shrink your tummy.

I remember sitting next to a guy in the waiting room at the doctor’s office. He’d had the procedure. He was telling us what he’d eaten. He was salivating about the polish and other items. Another chimed in and said it was a waste!
