What do you think of Bill Weld?

I am curious as to others' opinions about the man as Presisential material since it is my understanding that he is the only Republican thus far who is going to challenge Trump in the 2020 election. I vaguely remember him running as a Libertarian in 2016 or something. Or as a vice president, maybe?

A 15-minute or so google search on his policies and views have him more in line with seemingly traditionally Democratic stances such as being pro-choice, LGBT rights, and being for legalization of marijuana, oddly, according to axios.com and pbs.org.

Does anyone else have an opinion or more detailed information about him, perhaps? Very curious since, as I said before, Weld appears to be the only Republican challenging Trump as of now, and yet there are over 20 Democratic candidates for the 2020 election.

I don't give him even the faintest of hopes of actually mounting a credible challenge to the incumbent, but I wish he could. I really don't like the man in office now.
