Imagine you and a family member live together. You are already stresses because your work hours were cut very low. For most of the day said member is fine but then, out the f nowwhere they say they sont care or want to hear about your problems, slam their bedroom door and stay there. They say you did nothing when you ask of you angered them but go back to their room and shut you out

Ive listened to this persons issues many times. And also help pay their bills
Well, listen some more. You want them to listen to you, right? It's a compromise, you listen to each other. Listen to them and then tell them about your problems, too.

Look for another job instead of being home so much...
Your roomie/family member knows your job hours have been cut,
an there's been an exchange of this information.
You may of listened to their problems/helped them out when it was needed
but it don't mean you will be treated the same...nor should you "expect it".

You should like know your relative by now, so don't put too much on the
person...take it to the Lord in prayer, leave it there.
A roomie(relative or not) be concerned with keeping the rent/bills paid...that's
why I wouldn't hang out at home so much...search for more work, ask at church
if there's any work or if they know of someone who's hiring...even if it's just part time
work.
I've done all types of jobs when I was on short time/lay offs- I flipped burgers, yard work, housekeeping, childcare, caregiving, ran errands etc... it all helped to round out my pay check.
