A good friendly thread; I'm a bit late back here.

Paper mostly, and when requested by non shooting friends; ground-hogs.

I shoot a number of different .22 rimfires and have one pistol in .22 and a bunch of rifles.
Ground hog/Paper rifle is a Remington 78 with a birch stock that I recently installed a BDL hinged floor plate on. It has a Tasco Silver Antler 4 x 24 target scope on it. Great shooter.
I also have a sporterized 7 x 57 Mauser with double set triggers. Like a laser.
.38 S & W Webley-Enfield (1931), still tight and works great.
Chinese Norinco clones of the following; 1911 .45 5" barrel with adjustable sights; CZ 85B clone in 9mm, and waiting on the transfer for a NP58; Sig-Saur clone in .40 S & W. I have yet to shoot the .40, but love, and shoot well both the 9mm and the .45.

Most of the ammo I shoot in centerfire except for the .223 I handload; .223 I only handload my varmint loads using the best hollowpoint boat tails I can get at the time. With groundhogs, these leave very little to kick back down the hole.

For target practice and/or training I shoot mostly paper targets. One instructor I train under sometimes does have some steal targets. When I hunt I go for elk. I may try hunting wild boar at some point.

For weapons I shoot, I have a Glock 19 (my carry weapon), as well as a Glock 17 and 34, I have several AR pattern rifles chambered for 5.56 NATO (16 inch barrel, 1 in 7 twist) and a FAL/FN (7.62 NATO). For my hunting weapons I have a Ruger Super Redhawk (.44 Rem Mag) and a Savage Arms bolt action (.300 Win Mag and .308 Win)

That is some serious fire power.

It sure is!

Sif, what model is your savage, and how do you like it?

We are planning on doing a "Daisy-Day" at our club this year and inviting families to come out with their kids; BB and Pellet guns and light training bows and arrows for the kids; .22s for the older kids and adults; hot dogs and burgers for all! (beer for the organizers after we shut down LOL).
