I was interested in New Age and such things as the Law of Attraction for a little bit years ago, and realized it does more harm than good. On the Cult Education Forum, there is a 37-page thread of the most intelligent conversation entitled "Recovering from New Age Mumbo Jumbo" where people share and break down just how much mental damage new age beliefs can bring. One poster stated: "I contend that what is damaging about the New Age cultic milieu that many of us dislike is not that it is a liberating alternative to mainstream culture, but covertly is an extension of the very worst of mainstream culture." I thought about it - and it's true!
