What you should know about the U.S. midterm elections, and why they'll matter | CBC News

This concerns me as I'm sure it concerns everyone who is pleased with the job Trump has been doing so far. When you factor in HRC having 3 million more votes than Trump in 2016, the outlook is grim that republicans will keep the house. I've also heard rumors that the democrats are looking to hold a referendum to impeach Trump, they're only waiting for Nov. 6 when they presumably get their numbers up in the house. If Trump is impeached then the derailment of his administration is certain, and then we go right back on track with the systematic implosion of America. Is there any good news in this mess at all? Will Trump Derangement Syndrome win out against Trump's economic successes?

Trump is not going anywhere, bless God there are prayers being spoken in the white House.
You know even if Obama was still there people would get sick of the constant Holly weird people forcing their socialism on us.
We are not blind ,it is obvious the media is out to change America forever.
2 years ago God said no, there are rightous people here and He chose a leader least likely to succeed.
But God never chose the perfect to greatness , by this we know the works of the enemy ,and to God be the glory.

All the slander does not negate the results, there is a backlash on the way for the left.

There is no legal provision for impeaching the president by a national referendum. THe House of Representatives will have to do that, and if the Dems take the House, they will immediately begin that process. However, Impeachment doesn't mean removal from office; it is only about bringing charges. Removing the president from office requires a 2/3 vote of the Senate and the composition of the Senate is almost certain not to change much in the November election upcoming. In other words, there is not likely to be any conviction.

Clinton was in the same situation and wasn't removed from office. However, the Dems will certainly file articles of impeachment and try to investigate every thing and everyone possible in order to stalemate the government. More important, perhaps, they will attempt to block every proposed legislation that comes their way, which, however, is nothing new. The president still has considerable authority on his own and, for one thing, remember that the House does not confirm Supreme Court nominees, but only the Senate.

Yes, democracy is on its way out, since so many people are not willing to accept who is democratically elected. It will affect both the candidates a person dislikes and likes equally, which most people seem to not recognize. However the POTUS is treated by people is how the POTUS will be treated whoever is in office.

It would certainly be interesting if the Lord exposed the agendas of the media to the general population, though. I've watched a few independent reporter videos, and I'm glad to see them and hope there will be more, but the editorial standards I've seen have been poor.

Fighting for legislation or breaking the cultural ice against a sitting president will alter what is easy to do to the next president.

People's respect for the president has a cultural component that won't change when the president changes.

Why is this in "General Theology"? Is undying loyalty to Trump now part of the historic faith? I must have missed that memo.
It seems like when the media reports that some people think Trump is sent by God, it's considered slander by the media. But when a Trump supporter says that Trump was sent by God, it's theology.

This weird cross between God's Will and Trump is certain to always keep me away from both taking religion at all seriously and ever voting Republican.

The number of Republicans who think that way are very few, however, and the idea is strictly their personal opinion. Think of all the strange beliefs that are held by members of other parties. Would you refuse to vote for any candidates of those parties on that basis??

It's my hope that there will be an enormous Blue wave that spreads across this country on Election Day. I would very much like to see an enormous backlash against every single Republican who voted for Trump and who still supports him. I think it would be very entertaining to watch Trump's mental meltdown on the news and on Twitter if he loses both the House and the Senate in November. I can imagine him threatening to resign from the presidency in angry if he loses his Republican support.
