If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed,
rather than having two hands, to go to hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched, where their
worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched. And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better
for you to enter life lame, rather than having two feet, to be cast into hell, into the fire that shall never
be quenched, where their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.
Mark 9:43-46.
And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter
the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire,
where their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.
Mark 9:47-48.

Obviously this is not literal.

You are correct. The intent of those statements is to emphasise the importance of the Kingdom of God. Which makes me wonder why it rarely gets a mention in churches in my area. Lord Jesus also said that you haver to be born again in order even to see the Kingdom of God.

Not with righteous judgment nor with God's approval though.
God does approve, though, with a righteous judgment against Trump and his supporters, who are encouraging continuing sin.

No.
All the parties and politicians are guilty, and the hoopla/ shenanigans are simply distracting from everything that is more important, are very costly and expensive with no good results so far and not likely any, and it is all politically socially driven, NOT by anything of or from God or His Word, nor anyone obeying Him.

As written in Scripture ALL SOCIETY is encouraging continuing sin DAILY, trying to drag everyone down to destruction, and the political process the last two years plus more only increases the sin in everyone's eyes and leads to more sinfulness and worse, to very wrong self-rightness as if someone is actually doing what is right (according to God) for the right reasons (according to God).

The scripture can be used to argue for the impeachment and conviction of Donald Trump.
I thought that the USA had a complete separation of church and state? The Bible calls us to pray for our leaders, not impeach them. "In a democracy, Christians get the leader they pray for". Derek Prince.

Well, the meaning is real.

Give up those things and desires that bring or cause or encourage sin and sinfulness.
Sure. Sin originates in the heart. Hence the requirement for a new heart.

You do not understand Scripture on this issue.

The scripture calls on us to do good. Impeaching Trump is good.

One group of Christians did get Trump, whom they prayed for, God help us all.

The intent of those statements is to emphasise the importance of the Kingdom of God.
The Gospel of the Kingdom has never been a priority in churches in politically motivated nations, just as it was not in Judea. The mentality with these is that the Kingdom must be an opponent rather than an alternative.

The Bible calls us to pray for our leaders, not impeach them.
Praying for them does not mean support them. Prayer is that they will see the foolishness of their ways of pursuing personal interests first as compared to God's ways. Jesus also said to not rebel against them but to lead alternate lives. Those who seek to remove leaders are themselves in pursuit of personal interests and thus are no better than what they seek to remove.

In a sense, it is literal...prophetically.
It was spoken to men unable to walk in the Spirit yet.
Why?
Because Jesus had yet to be crucified.
By our (NT) "immersion" into Christ and into that crucifixion, we are enabled to undergo the crucifixion done without hands; casting off the flesh and being raised with Christ to walk in newness of life...life walked in the Spirit instead of in the flesh.

My entire body "caused me to sin", and I "cut it off" by joining with Christ in death, burial, and resurrection. (Rom 6:3-7)
And I thank God.

All sin is contained in our earthly flesh (a worm) ... this is why we now have a spiritual relationship with the Lord. When the Lord returns and we are changed ... we will have both a perfect spiritual (mind) and perfect spiritual body with out any worm.

Those that keep the "worm of sin" (not covered by the blood of Jesus) will be destroyed by eternal fire that can not be put out until they and their worm are totally destroyed.

What did Jesus Christ mean by this?
Jesus says,

"If anyone desires to come after Me, let I'm deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me." (in Luke 9:23)

I think your self can include what Jesus means by your eye or foot or hand . . . doing what is for you and not for God.

You are no scriptorian, my friend. Trump, the unrighteous worm, is encouraging sin, so I would advise you to not encourage Trump.

Most of them do for they pursue self interest. They take each other down to pursue self interest. Rarely do they work for the oppressed unless it serves their purpose. They like many Christians are more likely to preach to the choir.

Matthew 5: 46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? 47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? 48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
