I liked the little bug family that lived in the window flower box.
Yep the Tweedlebugs! I also loved the martians "yep-yep-yep-yep uh-huh, uh-huh. Wow so many memories. When I was 2 1/2 I did a pretty good Bert and Ernie impression!:D

Snufflupagus was not on nearly as much as he should have been. I was absolutely fascinated by that creature. Big bird was very cool too.

Then there was the "One of these things is not like the others..." song, which always annoyed me.

Bert had the yellow (upright lemon-shaped) head, black tufty hair and scary monobrow.

Ernie had the orange (American football shaped) head, masses of black hair and red and blue stripey pullover.

I also just loved how Big Bird alllllllllllllways got Mr. Hooper's name wrong.
Mr. Looper
Mr. Scooper
Mr. Sooper/Super?
and my all time fave that just made me and my brother roll around and laugh our bellies off....
Mr. Pooper!!!!!!!!!!!

The episode that they talked about Mr. Hooper's death was so sad. And I think that was the only time Big Bird got his name right.
I used to have one of these....anyone else here have one? One of my fave toys growing up!

The Ladybug's Picnic! I loved that!

I also loved the one about the Alligator King and his seven sons.

My favorite little video tho was the one where the orange gets foodstuffs to make a face and hair and sings "Habanero" from Bizet's Carmen. I would really love to see that one again.

She sang, "AMMMMMMMMOOOOREEE!" and her hair flew up in the hair. hehehehehe...

The Amazing Mumfort (sp?)
"ala peanutbutter sandwiches"

Now that I have a little boy I have watched seasme street lately and I hate it. It seems to be all rushed on their story lines just to have the last 15-20 minutes just for elmo. I find that the new ones are not as educational as it was when we were growing up. I am so happy that I can now get the old episodes on dvd for my son to watch.
