Interesting.

Did he change hearts or minds for some voters or did they vote how they already wanted to?

God allows us to choose up to a point. We get the
type of leaders we deserve, good or bad, by how
we vote and how we live.

God allows us to choose up to a point. It is either when we repent
or when we are under judgment that he usually steps in.
So the American people don't have free will?

Yes, I voted for the woman who had the best chance of winning the Democrat side (I would have voted for Bernie by the political machine had obviated that choice). I voted for the progressive candidate who had several decades of experience in working within the US Government and a track record of public service.

In other words I didn't think a pathologically lying, semi-intelligent reality tv show star who had taken a multimillion dollar inheritance from his dad and underperformed the stock market (ie wasn't a very good businessman) and whose primary product was, of late, licensing his name to go on other products would be a very good president.

No, you voted for the lying, unethical , out of touch corrupt political insider who used the tragedy of Haiti to line her and her husband's pockets with cash. No one who voted for Hillary Clinton has any room to bash Trump supporters. It's like arguing which of the four horsemen would be the best.

The Haitian earthquake tragedy...? Please show evidence of the Clintons having profited...??

You all joke about survival.
So amusing.
Well, my husband and I aren't White or Christian & he came to this country as a refugee. I think we are sensitive to how things can change quickly. Generally, we keep our heads down and our noses clean. We don't really discuss politics or social issues with non family members (except for anonymous internet forums). We isolate ourselves. We live frugally. We aren't making any major purchases. We are saving & staying liquid. Our passports are current.

Most importantly, we are realists. Trump isn't a demon or the hand of God. He is a shrewd narcissist of poor character. It is unlikely that he will destabilize the USA significantly; he will probably just leave us in a poor position relative to now. However, should he make greater missteps than expected- we won't make excuses, we'll seek safety, here or abroad.

Hahaha...! You should read your own sources...!

"While the Clintons in their respective roles clearly had a say over where some of the quake relief cash flowed, their political enemies have wrongly claimed the family foundation directly controlled all the billions in funds.

The foundation itself raised a relatively modest $30m for aid projects in Haiti.

A spokeswoman for the charity told the BBC: "Every penny of the more than $30m raised was deployed on the ground, with no overhead taken by the Clinton Foundation."

No one on this planet has a right to complain about their earthly leaders. Mankind chose men to lead them rather than their Creator. At any time, anyone can choose to place themselves under the leadership of their Creator which will transform their lives and give them hope of life in a better world where there will be no death, sickness, pain, tears, starvation, corrupt politicians, injustice in society, etc. At the appointed time, our Creator's Son Yeshua (Jesus) will return to set things right. His Kingdom will rule over this planet with benevolence until the Creator's will is accomplished and the world will be at peace with love permeating all.

<waits for it...>
So, perhaps someone can step up and provide evidence to support Rion's claim...that the Clintons "lined their pockets with cash" from the Haitian disaster...

Some of us do have a life outside of the forums. :sput:

IMO, he was the best candidate, hands down.
Or Jon Huntsman. When he was governor of Utah, that state was named the best managed state in America by the Pew Center on the States.

Sure I will. Thanks to the low-information voting bloc who got Trump into office I'll pay.

There's not a lot we can do right now to fix the problem. You folks who voted him into office have left us with little choice. Even if he resigns because his widdle feewings get hurt by the nasty media or he gets impeached because of his undisclosed ties to foreign leaders or whatever, it leaves Pence in place. Pence is hardly the sharpest tool in the shed but he's got more capability to function in a governmental setting which means he'll get more regressive paleo-conservative Republi-taliban type legislation through and he'll provide cover for Ryan and McConnell to systematically decimate the economic livelihoods of millions of Americans. So, bravo.

The point is: I wish the low information Trump voters would have used common sense rather than voting for Trump because they couldn't think their way out of a paper bag armed with scissors and a youtube video on how paperbags work.

Trump was a used car salesman from the START. EVERYONE knew he was under investigation for fraud in the Trump University scam, EVERYONE knew he was mentally incompetent when it came to just about ANY topic discussed during the campaign, EVERYONE knew he was interested in TWO THINGS: TRUMP AND MONEY.

There are about a billion examples I can provide to show that Trump was uniquely unsuited for the job. And SURPRISE! He is turning out to be uniquely unsuited for the job!

It honestly didn't take an advanced degree to see the trainwreck Trump was going to be. But again, thanks for helping us get him in charge. Really, thanks.

Maybe you should have put up a better candidate yourself.

Accepting God as leader can also make this life pretty good too.

Maybe you should have put up a better candidate yourself.

We had a couple good candidates. And Hillary wasn't nearly as bad as she was characterized to be.

She was, by just about every metric available, better than Trump. Hands down. Everyone who voted for Hillary knew that Trump would end up performing as he is performing. And those who voted for him should have known it.

Hilary was a horrible candidate, for different reasons than trump.
