Yes but the actual particular thread in which I have previously discussed this would be much more difficult to find, nor would I say that such discussion was even relegated to that particular forum. The idea that God's morality is subjective is not necessarily controversial.
Oh but that would be controversial, God's morality is the very definition of objective.

I'm a terrible speller, freely admit that, if you think that's bad you should see some of my errors from a cell phone. Anyway, we are seeing a clash of extremes, that seems obvious to me. If Trump fails to produce the wall his supporters will never forgive him, the Democrats know this. So no matter how bad this gets the Democrats will keep their base while Trump is betting the farm his base will understand.

If it's any conciliation I hope Trump finds a way to win this one but don't like his chances. I think he blew several deals and he isn't getting another one anytime soon, to much political capitol at stake. But more to come, let's just hang on with all our might and see how this goes.

Trump is surely bucking the status quo as both party hierarchies prefer open borders. However, I still maintain that he has the leverage in this dispute due to the fact that government employees are almost invariably Democrat constituents so all the actual pain is being inflicted upon the Democrat base and little to none upon Trump supporters.

I would relish the debate on that but this is not the time or place.

Because of how he went about trying to get it for one thing.

That does not address the morality or immorality of the wall but only the morality or immorality of a person.

My time is up for today but I must say that I have enjoyed discussing things with rational people here and would savor further discussions with those that have proven to be so rational. Some others not so rational , not so much. Good night all.

Democrats and Republicans both voted for in the past a barrier of some type at the US Mexico border. Then there was no rhetoric on the morality of doing so.

Why now?

Is it because the President wanted a concrete wall and that’s immoral? But now we see the President in some statements say “barrier” thus being open to what type.

So is any barrier immoral or just concete walls?
I wonder if her talk about the wall being immoral comes from what Pope Francis said about it.

Why bother when you can just walk in and then get to a sanctuary city?

That's why sanctuary cities need to be done away with, you eliminate the incentives and most of them won't come.

Then if steel barriers are not a preferred option why isn’t the debate of the type of physical barrier. We know they work.

Because the issue is not over whether they work, but whether this wall that Donny wants is even necessary. We know it's not.

What’s really the problem is the Democrats are starting to believe their own fabricated rhetoric.

My irony meter exploded, Star Trek panel style.

Perhaps it is difficult for me to comprehend why you think I should accept your opinion that a wall is unnecessary and a vanity project, an opinion which I do not agree with, is fact rather than merely your opinion?

Unlike those who say, without evidence, that Pelosi "thinks walls are immoral", I can back up my statements with fact.

The wall is unnecessary

As he made the statement behind his very own Vatican walls?
No, as he visited Mexico. Though Vatican City has walls, which were built centuries ago, it has open borders with Italy. The gates are always open.

With the big bad Swiss guards at the gate.
